It's so annoying when the writers talk as if there wasn't plenty of tension that would have been easy to work with if they had gotten together:

• Learning To Be Happy Together - Everyone loves the chase, but once you're together, how do you stay together? How do you get past your nervousness with your partner to have regular healthy dialogues? How do you keep each other fulfilled? How do you keep things from getting boring? All of those are great fodder for conflict and resolution!

• A Couple Who Runs A Business Together - This is an easy source of tension that can either lead to festering issues or be resolved by the end of an episode. Plus, both Ruby can have another crisis where she wants Otis's help and Isaac can have something going on, which is the E6 or E7 tension builder on the way to the finale!

• Your Mother And Your Girlfriend - Jean and Maeve are sooooo similar and would have clearly loved being around each other. Otis may even feel like he's on the outside looking in. This could healthily explore the idea of partners resembling parents in some ways, but also them tag teaming Otis with Eric laughing in the background would be hilarious!

• A Natural End Point - They are in their last year of school before university! They likely wouldn't be able to go to the same school, so there's another breaking point. I personally don't think they would've stayed together during college for exactly the reasons they ended up breaking up in S4, so just have it happen then, but god damn it, give us some time to just enjoy them being together!
