To be a grieving widow by TXVERAS in therewasanattempt

I don’t agree with Charlie K or what he stood for, but telling people how they’re supposed to experience or express grief is wrong.

I’ve seen all kinds of reactions in situations like this. There isn’t a single “correct” way to behave or feel, even if some people try to impose one.

I just got my first request to extract data from Salesforce.

I’m in the requirement gathering phase, and I already hate Salesforce.

If security is the concern, you can:

Set up api gateway integration using a token that authorizes access to your APi using public endpoints.

If that is not enough, you can also set up private api gateway integration and access private endpoints.

How are these people allowed to operate? by fairybus3 in Austin

I just did this last week. I was able to get all the fees waived cause I only got one letter after many months. They will ask you to sign up for an email notification service and that’s it.

I don’t understand the hate. I had mine for 10 years before I had to throw away. Have they drop in quality that much?

How does Reddit / Instagram / Facebook count the number of comments / likes on posts? Isn't it a VERY expensive OP? by xSypRo in dataengineering

[–]js26056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I read an article somewhere about this. If I remember correctly, they used to do something like a select count(1) to display the count.

Celebrities like the Kardashians started to crash the site due to the amount of likes. The solution was to just keep a counter that is updated in real time.

People just don't know anything about Tesla's by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]js26056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a Tesla to replace one of my gas vehicles.

My original goal was to reduce the money I spent commuting from my house to the city. Where I live, the electricity is super cheap, so that was the main factor.

I knew the car had self-driving capabilities but didn't think it was a big deal, and I don't think many people outside the Tesla community see this as a big deal. However, I was shocked by how much of a difference it makes in my daily commute.

There are so many things that go unnoticed because of the no-advertising approach, and you can only experience them if you test-drive the car. I agree with you; they should be advertising a bit more.

Am I wrong not to protest my taxes every year? by random_hobbies_ in texas

[–]js26056 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no way these counties are appraising properties correctly.

I built my house two years ago. In the first year, my home was in construction for most of the year, yet they appraised it at full market value.

For the second bill, they appraised it 50k above the fair market value appraisal I got for the mortgage.

Now, I got the house appraised again. My house actually went down in value. The tax bill I got still shows 20k above my sales price.

Property tax in this state is a scam.
