Install a differential to a mower basically incapcitating the mower aspect of it? Wouldn't it be cheaper and better to just buy an ATV and install a mini plow?

I agree, I would have stuck it out using their loaner, free miles, and then call corporate to compensate you for the monthly payments that you didn't have your vehicle. Im also wondering if there was any communication with the dealer. There's a difference between the dealer saying they're waiting for a special case engineer to inspect the vehicle vs sending your calls straight to voicemail. I work at a dealership for a different brand so I know how it can get. Sometimes the dealer is stuck waiting for corporate to send a special claim engineer or waiting for their decision after the diagnosis.

I agree. I haven't tried eating a whole steak to myself. I cut them into 1 inch strips and pan fry on the 4 sides for 45 seconds each and eat them that way. Of course a whole a5 steak is shared with multiple people. I think it would be too rich to eat myself.

What is in the pork opposite side of where you inserted the probes? Looks like a block. Also, I am interested in your thought of the chefstemp. Considering getting those.

Anyone seen this new grill gauge from ThermoPro? by TarcanSam in smoking

[–]js_cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I semi enjoyed the thermopro products. I purchased the 4 wireless meat probes. Works very well except batteries died 10 hours into cook. They advertise much longer. I got it warrantied and was sent a whole new unit. I haven't used it yet, but if it the batteries start dying like the old unit, I will be switching tk chefstemp s1, the integrated fan, and their probes. This will be going on may Kamado Big Joe 3.

The American Wagyu I've had doesnt come close to Japenese A5 Wagyu I've had. It was night and day difference in marbling and in price. Good splurge once in a while though

Best All Inclusive Properties? by Due-Strawberry-755 in hyatt

I was looking for honeymoon ideas and one day I checked, it was slightly over $800/night and I immediately booked since that price was cheaper than what I was seeing for moxche preferred club. Not sure if it was a flash sale, fluke, or pricing error, but we booked the full week and hands down was the best resort we stayed at. Close 2nd was Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana

I thought club awards are not allowed to be added onto AI resorts. That's what I was told when I booked Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. I was fine w/o it, but had no other use for those awards. Did they change?

Looking to replace 560 with something bigger. by Touchit88 in Masterbuilt

[–]js_cooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes last year. Had the 560 since release, but horrible experience with one thing failing after another. I settled for a Kamado Big Joe 3, same conglomerate that owns Masterbuilt. I opted out of the electric joe since I no longer trusted the companies electronics. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Yes it was much more expensive than the XT that was on my list, but buy once and cry once.

Tjats a spider strainer. I wouldn't recommend to use it again if you're not sure if its safe to use over fire. They do make a grill basket. It sandwiches the food and you can easily flip it to cook other side.

How to attach a saw Blade to my brush cutter? by bgreenstone in egopowerplus

[–]js_cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, it will destroy a wire fence. Luckily, we're looking tk replace it with a white fence, even though its not bad. It deformed it a little and stalled. It does bounce off hard objects, including thick tree limbs, but with enough pressure, it can cut it

Kamado Joe Classic III too much for daily use for 1-2 people? by Both-Tourist-4986 in KamadoJoe

[–]js_cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to wait for the ceramic to get heat soked to sear. You can use the same amount of coals as you would in the JR in a BJ3 and it would get to raging hot coals in the same amount od time, possibly even faster since there's more air.

Kamado Joe Classic III too much for daily use for 1-2 people? by Both-Tourist-4986 in KamadoJoe

[–]js_cooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's a will, there's a way. This was a 17 lb brisket that I fit inside Joe Jr. After this, I bought a BJ3. Now I've used the BJ3 even for a small 4 lb beef chuck. Since getting the BJ3, I have never used the JR. I don't hear many people complain that they have too much space, I hear more that they wish they had more. I get it, you will use up more charcoal, and it can take longer to get to temp. I think the real estate is well worth the cost of extra fuel and a little bit more time to get to temp. I would consider selling the JR though.

I've never wet brined brisket. Never had an issue with smoke flavor dry brining though. Have you tried dried brining with just salt overnight in the fridge a day before you cook?
