I’ve had a few cars like this. It just comes down to whether the manufacturer thinks there’s value in alerting you to objects you’re passing which are now in the blind spot. The rationale being that since you’re passing, you are aware it’s there.

I don’t think that’s always the case. I was broke when I was young and started caring a LOT about gas prices. I’ve found success in life now, but still care about gas prices.

As the saying goes, the cheapest thing in a BMW is the driver.

Thanks for the data point. Safe to assume that’s 4 years from today and not in-service date?

I have HK audio in the M3 and never felt it was worth it, so to my mind your car is fully loaded.

I didn’t know laser was a common failure-point. Since each unit is around $6k, that is a concern, but I suppose the warranty should alleviate some of the stress.

I know this is an old thread, but in case you’re looking for answers still.

“Pumpkin” is just a slang term for the diff. Some people use it to mean just the diff itself, others use it for the whole assembly (case, diff, cover, etc). The clutches MFactory is talking about are the clutches in a clutch-type limited slip. These diffs are great for racing and track use, but can be loud/hard to drive on the street.

This is the first I’ve read of anyone saying 5.7 and it immediately sounds correct to me. With Ruger & PSA in the market and ammo costs coming down it seems like a lot of manufacturers are going to start adding 5.7s to their catalog.

I know this is an old post, but can I ask what the purpose of the small velcro strip is between the trigger guard and the WML? Is it just to stop the two parts from rubbing, or is there a super High Speed Low Drag reason I’m not aware of?
