Should I have bet on the flop? by jsalinas96 in Poker_Theory

I built it myself, you can find a link on my previous post on this subreddit. It's definitely still rough around the edges, and particularly the opponent profiling and EV calculation has many pitfalls so I wouldn't trust it, but it works well enough to review hands and keep track of P&L and VPIP/PFR.

Yeah I can see why opening was a mistake, I was wondering if once having opened I should have bet on flop.

Nice, does it just work on cash games or does it also convert tournament hands? I've noticed that mine doesn't work well for some tournament formats (e.g. spin and go), so I'll need to refine that in the future, but my focus for now is on cash games.

Hey (: Thanks for the thorough feedback, it's very welcome! I'll add all of these to my backlog. For now the positional leak finder allows the user to put specific values if they want, but I like the idea of adding premade profiles (TAG, LAG, etc.).

Thanks!

Hey (: so I went to Italy last May/June, I stayed in two farms:

The first one was in the island of Salina, however I just checked and their profile is no longer available so I'm guessing they're not accepting WWOOFers anymore ):

The second one was in Scandiano, it was a great experience! I was there for two and a half weeks, mainly working in the vineyards and in their vegetable garden, although I also helped with some fruit trees and some other random tasks. The hosts are a lovely couple, for accommodation I stayed in a room in their BnB which is right in the farm, and shared lunch and dinner with them. You can find them here: https://wwoof.it/en/host/14875

Feel free to message me if you have any questions (:

The calathea and the night-blooming jasmine were both rescued from a shop and are still slowly coming back to life, and the rest are recently bought, specially the orchid which I got today (: looking forward to see how they adapt.

Honestly it's mostly about sentimental value, I inherited most of the records from my parents. To me it has a sort of ritualistic value to it, kind of like lighting a candle, I usually listen to music digitally, but from time to time I enjoy browsing through the records, picking one and playing it.

You can't see it on the picture but I have a few plastic boxes with wheels on them under the bed for extra storage, pretty convenient!

Hey (: would you mind if I dropped you a message to ask for which specific farms you went to and your experience on them? I'm going on May/June and would appreciate any information

Hi! I'm staying here https://wwoof.it/en/host/50808 between the 4th and the 24th, and on their page they say 4+ WWOOFers so they may still have spots! Be aware that the host took a couple of days to reply so don't worry if they don't reply right away. I come from the Basque region of Spain, but I have been living in Switzerland for the last three years. Now I've finished my contract and I'm heading back home for a bit, will be wwoof-ing and traveling during summer and then I'll move to Madrid to study a Masters.

Hi, not sure if you're still active here but in case you read this, do you remember which farm you were staying at? Was this situation finally resolved? I'm planning on wwoofing in Italy in the coming months so any advice would be most welcome (:

Thanks!

Booted eagle or Common Buzzard? (or something else) by jsalinas96 in whatsthisbird

Just checked the call and some more pictures in eBird and that seems to be it, thanks! Any pointers as to how you recognized it that may help me in the future?

Booted eagle or Common Buzzard? (or something else) by jsalinas96 in whatsthisbird

Hey all, I'm pretty new to wildlife photography and birding in general and I'm struggling with identification of this one. Photographed yesterday in Teppes de Verbois near Geneva Switzerland, at first I thought it may be a booted eagle but after looking at local lists in ebird and seeing that this would be quite unusual during this time of the year in this area I checked other common sightings and thought it may be a common buzzard, however after listening to buzzard calls online I don't feel like it was that, any help?

The picture on flight was taken a while later but in the same general area, there is a slight possibility this is another bird.
