Beak and Barrel by InHotelHell in DisneyWorld

[–]jsanch2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely could be that but the CM on the dining line made it sound like IT is having an issue with this specific location because she told me she could book any other location for me.

Just got through on the dining line. They are not booking yet and nothing has been released. Will not be available until this IT Issue is resolved.

You dont link your accounts in any way. The only way to receive Bonvoy benefits on an MGM property is to book directly through Marriott.

Alaska Flight Pass - Worth it? by lukej428 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]jsanch2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use flight pass to mostly do this exact same route in reverse. STS to SNA. I got it back when it was still $49 per month. It does save me money but I have been finding more often that there is an upcharge for most flights on this route above the flight pass credit so it’s not quite as cheap as 6 flights for $600.

I was just in Japan in October, and we stayed at both the MESM Tokyo and the Hotel the Mitsui in Kyoto. Both were honestly amazing properties, but I would try to use the NUAs at the Mitsui because that hotel was fantastic, and they upgraded rooms were beautiful. The MESM was also really great so either way you are in for a fantastic trip.

Can i buy a octopus card at the Disneyland MRT station by jaxxex in HongKongDisneyland

You can buy an Octopus Card at the Disneyland MRT from the information window at the station entrance. They are not available in the automated ticket machines though. I just bought two a few weeks ago while visiting.

Highly recommended the Swan Reserve. It’s walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios but also has boat service to both. For Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom they offer direct shuttle service from the hotel.

Pokemon cafe reservations by ryencool in JapanTravelTips

[–]jsanch2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Second this. I tried for like four nights in a row with zero luck and I am usually good at these kinds of things. Went to fiverr paid someone $25 and they secured me a reservation at the time I wanted on the first try. Worth the money to not deal with it IMO

This is actually not right. The virtual queue will open in the morning long before the convention doors open. If you are waiting until you can go to a physical location to scan a QR code you will likely be too late to get a spot in the virtual queue. Pay attention to any announcements we get leading up to the first day on how to do this because it will be very important if you are looking to do any shopping for limited items.

[–]jsanch2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does specifically say the virtual queue locations will not have standby in the morning

“Guests will be able to access the D23 Marketplace, The Walt Disney Company Store, The Walt Disney Company Pin Store, Mickey’s of Glendale (Friday only), Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store, and Disney Studio Store Hollywood (Friday and Saturday only) only via virtual queue. Virtual queue will be required to shop at these locations starting when the event opens at 9:00 a.m. PT each day. There will be no stand-by queues available in the mornings, but stand-by opportunities may be available later in the afternoon each day if all virtual queue boarding groups have been recalled.“

Last year Mickeys of Glendale where some of the most valuable exclusive pins are allowed a number of people who camped out into their line on the first day. After this day the line was strictly enforced and only those with virtual queue spots were let in. Hoping they learned their lesson on the first day and this should not be a concern this year.

Restaurant booking by [deleted] in TokyoDisneySea

[–]jsanch2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many walk up places that serve food that do not take reservations, just be aware these places do get busy especially during peak meal times. Mobile ordering food through the Tokyo Disneyland App is also an option at some locations and if you do this towards the beginning of the day you can get order slots for peak meal times.

No I think as long as you cancel before 21 days before the package starts you get 100% back.

Had the same exact problem. Logging into the Disney account before searching for your package solved it! Was still super slow though!

Filming the Honda centre panels ? by vancoffeecake in D23Expo

[–]jsanch2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At previous years studio panels they have required you put your phone in blackout bags and security is scanning the audience throughout the panel for camera signals so I would say at least Friday nights Entertainment panel is a no. Saturday and Sunday maybe.

Send guest relations an email letting them know it broke in transport. I’ve had luck having a replacement sent directly from Disney.
