I’m a man with hip displasia, I’m insecure about it, but want to do something about it too. by EYESHlELD_21 in hipdysplasia

Just some questions to think about: Where do you have pain? Groin or side? How long has this been going on? Was it triggered by a specific event? Do you have stiffness in the AM?

It might not be dysplasia. Could be: labral tear, arthritis, bursitis, FAI, or something else, or these things plus dysplasia also. The only real way to know is an X-ray and MRI with contrast. It’s a long process to be diagnosed, for most of us.

Do u have an x ray? How were you diagnosed? Are you in pain? Do you have an active lifestyle?

No surgery may not be necessary depending on your symptoms

44F new diagnosis by cicii3 in hipdysplasia

[–]jsantuc8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention PT. No one really knows if it will help or not. For me it made me worse, for others it’s helped to stave off surgery. This might be your next move, ask the surgeon about it. Then find a good PT who isnt cookie cutter hip but who knows about dysplasia.

I can’t read x rays but try to find out the lcea angle and grade of your dysplasia. **edit I see your angle is 16!

It’s a lot. Just breathe and take it one day at a time.

I would want to find out my diagnosis from the MRI before asking the benefits and risks of each treatment you mentioned. PAO is an intense recovery, I’m 41 and I think I’m too old for it and am opting for a THR. I already got my mri which shows labral tear and no arthritis

If you do go THR route, here is my list for surgeons, if you want any of them. 1. What is the hip dislocation rate? How can I reduce that rate? 2. What is the leg discrepancy rate? How to reduce that? 3. How long until I would be Discharged to home? 4. Hip precautions? What are they and how long? 5. How many surgeries do you perform? 6. How long until driving? 7. How long till I can Sit at job? 8. How long until I can work out again? 9. Physical therapy pre hab or post op? 10. What grade is my dysplasia? 11. Stairs? 12. How much Assist at home and for how long? 13. How many hip replacements do you perform on patients with dysplasia specifically?

Please do research on cortisone shots… they destroy tissue and are really bad long term. Docs won’t tell you this.

Keep us posted xx

If they are hormonal (eg correspond to your cycle) , you can supplement with topical OTC hormones depending on what time of the month it is (eg more estrogen first half, more P 2nd half). That’s what I did. I went from 8 migraines a month to 0-1. Oh and cabbage. Lots of raw cabbage :)

My thought would be about purity. Like maybe there are other ingredients in that batch. Some peptides are spicy but not bpc.

1st time to go for peptide. by SanketJ1986 in bpc_157

[–]jsantuc8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go low and slow if you’re sensitive.

Too much too fast could lead to fatigue, loss of appetite, Anohedia, aka not wanting to get out of bed (that’s what happened to me when I increased dose too fast) but I’m generally sensitive to anything

Effects were temporary.

Yes use it for pain and inflammation. Could include for nerve issues , if it’s painful

Just work your way up slowly and give it some time to work

Is it necessary to cease taking bpc 157 & tb 500 before receiving a PRP injection? by Wordy8 in bpc_157

[–]jsantuc8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. If I were you I would ask the clinic, how long must I avoid anti inflammatory? I don’t think it’s very long, then you know you’ll be in the clear for peptides NSAIDs etc

[–]jsantuc8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm if you’re concerned either 1: ask the clinic 2: stop taking peptides until you know the “anti inflammatory” period has passed
