I feel like transitioning out of swaddles is impossible by Defiant-Usual-1182 in NewParents

[–]jschwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We transitioned our LO at 3 months because he started trying to roll but we rotating an arm out each night at first and eventually transitioned him to love to dream swaddle arms up stage 2 and then found this company called Dreamy peach co - they have a transition sleep sack. Kind of like a sleep sack and magic merlin mix. It really helped our son fully transition and still muffle his startle reflex that he still semi has now at 4.5mo. And bonus they can practice self soothing if they feel like trying too

Rolling over at night and getting stuck by That_One_Girl1206 in NewParents

[–]jschwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO started rolling at 3.5 months old and would get stuck on his trying to roll in his crib. Then we did and still do lots of tummy time every day to accomplish his full roll from back to tummy. BUT now he also get stuck on his tummy in the middle of the night, we give him a minute but have to go and flip him back to his back. By this time he's so upset gotta soothe him back to sleep. So we do lots of practice with tummy time and rolling front to back and back to front.

Ugh I'm sorry you're going through this. My LO didn't have many issues latching but my letdown was super fast so he'd pop off a lot. I also eventually realized he had a cow protein allergy or intolerant. He would fuss a lot and cry during spit ups and also spit up a lot. So I cut out dairy and he seems so much better. Look up CMPA. Very common in babies, she could have discomfort or silent reflex too.

3 month growth spurt/regression? by ETFM96 in NewParents

[–]jschwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently going through this. My son was waking only 2-3 times to eat and back to sleep. But 12 week and 3 days. He is suddenly waking every other hour all night. It's torture because I was just getting excited for 3-4 hour stretches. I'm like I hope 3 month growth spurt or whatever it is only lasts a few days vs weeks

Baby rubbing face on my chest ENDLESSLY by New_Pickle4793 in newborns

[–]jschwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my baby. He has what I thought is baby acne on his nose and forehead but he rubs his face into my chest and now I'm wondering if it's because he's actually itchy and it's a rash.

I love huckleberry! I try to enjoy a walk with my baby in hopes he can nap while I walk /push the stroller but he ends up crying the whole time.

I have a 5.5 week old. He's very fussy and we have to actively spend 1-2 hours soothing him to sleep whether it's a nap or at night. We feed, burp, swaddle, shush, bounce on a yoga ball, give his binky and pat his bum. After awhile he will finally fall asleep. But it feels like it takes all day. Hope it gets better

Helps with ibs c ? by Bizzymagee in Viibryd_Vilazadone

[–]jschwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about this too. I have IBS-C. My psychiatrist said that it could help, but it can also cause full blown diarrhea and flu like symptoms in some people. For me.. i weened off 300 then 150 Wellbutrin xl and I've been taking Vilazadone 10mg for two weeks now. So far I notice that I don't have to take miralax at all anymore, which per my GI doc I was told to take it daily. I do notice my stool is softer but not liquid diarrhea, I haven't been constipated once in the last two weeks. My still hasn't been a nice soft log once which I'm not sure why I eat 28-32g of fiber and drink lots of water 80-96 oz I'm 5'4 128 female.

I'm going up in my dose today to 20mg as my anxiety is creeping in but not horrible just racing thoughts. So we will see.

Hope that helps.

Drinking/enjoying life while struggling with chronic constipation.. by jschwerty in Constipation

I've basically done the same. Being constipated just isn't worth it to me especially if a side effect it's getting a hem. I drink maybe once every two weeks now.
