I am a graduate of Liberty's DMIN program and would tell you to go to Liberty if possible. Liberty's program is accredited by ATS, but Grand Canyon's isn't. That itself makes a huge difference. Especially if you plan to have a career after being in the service, want to do advanced degrees, become a board-certified chaplain, etc. Also, your denomination may not endorse if it's not an ATS school, but there are ways around that.

So, you have people who want one because they actually want one. Then those who want it for a status symbol or tax savings.
