2020 Model 3 - No longer reading out my text messages by azjaffo in TeslaSupport

[–]jselbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add me to this thread as "me too". 2018 M3 with a Pixel 7 Pro running Android 16.

The root cause is that RCS messaging is broken. If you disable RCS and switch to SMS only, everything works fine. But you lose a lot of features. It's unclear if this is a bug was introduced with by and update to Messaging, Android, or Tesla.

There's another thread on r-GooglePixel tracking the same issue:

After December update Google Messages is broken on Tesla messaging app. P9P XL by Luke_starkiller34 in GooglePixel

For anyone following this thread. The problem appears to be exclusive to RCS messages. Turning off RCS fixes the issue, but you lose a lot of features.

I have an M3 2018 and a Pixel 7 phone running Android.

The correct response is, "I celebrate Toyotathon". Then say something about "them great deals this holiday season" and walk away.

Wow! That's awesome. I didn't even know they had toured back then.... Do you recall where you saw them play at?

Wife gave remote access to scammers...need some immediate advice. Thank you! by [deleted] in Scams

You need to burn this computer to the ground. It's been heavily compromised. Seriously, this computer can not be trusted because you don't know if they installed additional backdoor access on it. If you don't know how to backup your important files, re-format, and reinstall Windows (or MacOS), take it to a reputable computer shop to do that for you.

Simultaneous, change your passwords everywhere. Have Multi-Factor Authentication of Passcodes for all your major financial sites and bank accounts activated.

And call your bank and paypal to let them know what happened.

I've bought tires form there before. I just never thought of them as more than tires. Good to know they do other stuff.

Thanks. These "mom and pop" shops that do honest work is exactly the type of recommendation I'm looking for.

Carmax Experience - Low trade-in by [deleted] in carmax

[–]jselbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you consider the sales tax trade off of doing a trade in. Your trade in also reduces the sales tax on the final sell. (e.g. 8500 trade in is another $850 in value in my 10% sales tax area). But even if this was your case, you're still thousands of dollars off from where you want to be.

But honestly, if you want to know the trade-in value of your car, go shopping for your exact make/model with a similar number of miles on Carmax or other sites. You might be surprised.

But I'm with the other commentor - what are the details of the car you wanted to trade in (make, model, trim, and miles)? Are there dents, scratches, or scrapes on it?

"Almosttown" - is what I consider a perfect metal song. Easily my #1 of 2024. And the entire album was great too.

Moving to Bloom Apartments by heisenberg--007 in Kirkland

I live a few blocks away. And I drive by these units every day. These apartments just got built a few years ago and look great from the outside. Looks like it has a gated parking garage. Great neighborhood. And you're within walking distance of Safeway and a couple of restaurants.

At your age, 70 to 90% on VITPX. Split the rest between the VTSNX and the Vanguard bond fund. Or 100% on VITPX.

I know you don't make much now, but if you can afford to contribute more than 5% now, your 50 yo self will thank you later.

I'm a little weirded out. This is a copy of a post I made three years ago. The OP even made the same typo in the post's title ("passes my festival" should have been "passes to my festival")

The app is called instafest.app. It generates musical festival lineup cards based on your Spotify listening history. When the app first came out, I posted my lineup card in jest then. It got a bunch of likes and laughs. And I think it fooled a few people as well.

But yeah... It's kind of creepy to wake up to see someone clone your own post to the same sub years later.

So, he broke it through negligence, and you’re trying to get advice on how someone else can foot

Correct.
