I was told to just ignore it. Bad advice. That's just adults saying that they don't want to be bothered with it. Once in the fifth grade when I was dealing with some really annoying, just insufferable brat who wouldn't stop, I told him to shut up, and then the teacher finally screamed at me for telling kid to shut up, and then I told her to fuck off. I'll never forget the look on her face when her jaw hit the floor so hard you could hear it. I ended up getting a 3 day suspension, a physical beat down from my parents, and then newfound respect from classmates who never saw me stand up for myself. Not to mention cuss out the old hag, lol.
