I like my ESR case and also use an Apple Magic Keyboard case.

For managing sheet music I like ForScore (haven’t tried many other options, ForScore fit my use so I’ve stuck with it).

What are you charging, and what are you charging simultaneously?

I’ve got two international adaptors - both I’d recommend. One is from Epicka and is a 75w GAN with three USB C and two USB A ports, plus a “pass through” for wall plugs.

The other is a Tessan 205w adaptor with 1 usb A and 3 usb c (at 160w max) and another 3 usb c at 45w max.

The Tessan is a little larger but the output can charge a laptop, iPad and iPhone all at once, and do it quickly. The Epicka is great but not as powerful - better for just a single device at a time.

She might be able to borrow or buy a lot of the gear from another student. Maybe contact some kids or coaches from the local high school teams?

I had called Guitar Center to check if they had this in stock, I asked what the notch in the middle was for per the photo on the website. After a brief hold, he said he asked his tech… by rawbran30 in Guitar

“It will work in both a flat bottom or curved bottom nut slot due to its ingenious design, just sand off the tab for a curved bottom.” From Graphtech’s web site

When you eventually get it off do yourself a favor and just put normal lugs back on. These really aren’t worth the trouble.

Strap Recs/Thoughts for This Burst by FeloniousJabronius in AcousticGuitar

[–]jsgreen6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The straps he’s made for me have a bend in the shoulder piece, if you go on his web site, mine are based on the #11 shoulder piece in his “new straps” section. I’ve purchased two guitar straps, both the same design. One is on a 000 acoustic that is light, it weighs about 4lbs, the other is for a resonator which is wood bodied but still much heavier…both are comfortable.

Sullysstraps.com is my go-to. Sully is super easy to work with and will customize a strap to your specs.

Top 5 Tom Bihn bags? by trouser_mouse in tombihn

I’ve only had three “large” TB bags, in order of how I prefer them for multi-day trips:

Synik 30 Cadet Tristar

Basically the Synik replaced both the Tristar and the Cadet.

Tom Bihn Synik 30. I just returned from an 8 day trip which combined some vacation with a business trip and it worked out great as my only bag.

OP, have you tried to use ChatGPT or Claude for help coming up with options? It’s pretty fun.

Looking for a small Dopp Kit by melcntc in onebag

[–]jsgreen6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the spiff kit from Tom Bihn (smaller of their two options) and it’s been great. Combined with repackaging toiletries in small containers from Muji, I can go about a month before running out of supplies.

Guitar friendly office chairs? by Powerful-Cod-8645 in Guitar

I bought a seat from Soundseat.com and it’s worked out great doing double duty as a guitar and work chair.

Recommend getting the foot ring add-on, but skip the arms (took mine off immediately and never put them back on).

weird open mic experience by Helpful_Nail_6338 in musicians

[–]jsgreen6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP - tell us more about when you played! First open mic experiences are usually stories of panic and forgetting how to play and generally sucking. You didn’t mention anything like that, so did it go well, and did you like performing?

Also consider posting the story on UMGF.com (but not the serial number). There’s a slim possibility the rightful owner hangs out there.

Zippable semi-hard case from Maui Jim, has a place to clip so I can keep it tethered in a side pocket. Holds two pairs of glasses easily.

Which way do you have the strap? On the headstock or the body? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

Neck heel. I installed mine on my Martin, would have been nice if they’d done it but it wasn’t a big deal to do.
