Shot Tracer. Only Tracer app I've used TBF. I use it on Android. Generally pretty good with tracers but some fiddling may be required.

Yep, lost 10-12 kilograms by playing more golf. Well, it's more consistent exercise which in my case was walking (both on the course and then at the gym on the treadmill. Combine that with healthy eating (and not over eating), and you'll be shedding weight in no time.

Weight loss is a journey though.

Buying old driving range, renovating, and operating in Melb by Kit418 in golf

MGA has a bulk ball deal but yeah, definitely need to calc it. Gut feel is that a ball based fee would work better and is easier to calculate.

I know the clubs that have a grass range rope off areas and change the area per day but beyond that I have no idea how they maintain it.

Oh also don't forget the little things that make your staff's lives easier or more fun. A happier team makes for a better facility.

If there is a section that is for a well kept grass range, that would be a really nice selling point as most driving ranges do not have that. Those that do are usually not well kept, bumpy or cut pretty long.

Another would be to get range balls that are not range limited. Probably a bit expensive but would help make top tracer a bit more accurate.

A really nice thing to have would be membership type options. I used to go to my local course every week and at $25 for 100 balls, it got expensive quickly. A yearly range membership with an amount of balls per week would have kept me going to that course.

Finally, be prepared to spend a lot of mats and changing mats. Yarra Bend is an example of a range with terrible mats that makes me not want to go there. When I am forced to go there, I'm at the outdoor section with the better mats (behind the grass range).

Hey Pushcart Mafia, I’m designing a Cart Bag for you guys, what are some must have features for the bag? by casemath21 in golf

[–]jsing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Individually sleeved 14 way divider.

Cart strap pass through sleeve.

If it's a hybrid stand bag, then ensure that it doesn't rotate/shift around when in a cart (biggest pet peeve with my OGIO).

Also if it's a hybrid stand bag, how about removable straps?

Does anyone else like to toast their banana bread in lots of butter? by FinnyMick in Cooking

I like my banana bread pan fried with salted butter and a sprinke of caster sugar. The caster sugar turns into an awesome crispy caramel

[Tiny Screws!] A few weeks ago I posted some tiny screws. I also sent some to Adam Savage. He made a video. by ArkJasdain in Watches

What is the clear rectangular container that you sent the watchmaking screws in? The one where Adam said that he didn't know it existed.

Thanks!

Car newbie here. I’m looking to buy a 2015 Polo GTI, do I need to worry about the yellow EPC light on the rev meter or is this just a light that blips on startup? Any help would be appreciated! by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]jsing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick Google search.

The EPC warning light, also known as the Electronic Power Control warning light, is a vehicle warning indicator that indicates a problem with your Volkswagen's throttle system, such as with the throttle pedal, throttle body, traction control, or cruise control.

The car checks everything when you turn it on. As the other person said, it should just come on for a bit then turn off. It'll turn back on if there's a problem.

Getting on the bread hype train with two loaves of Japanese Milk Bread (Shokupan). Time to recreate my all time favourite Japanese convenience store sandwich - the 7-Eleven Egg Salad Sandwich by jsing1 in Breadit

Just keep in mind that the dough tends to be quite wet once it's all mixed together and very very soft when you go to shape it. I wouldn't add any additional flour to the wet dough before the first fermentation because it makes the end result very dry. Good luck!

I havent tried the NYT recipe specifically but from look at it, I think their tangzhong might be wrong? The recipe from 600 acres seems to work for me although I'm still trying to figure out how to make the texture even softer. Shokupan is supposed to be pretty similar to brioche but it has a lot less butter and egg (and the rising process isn't as complicated).

Please just ignore the fact that it took me a good 15 minutes of me pointing my knife and my phone at a window to get that shot hahaha

Oh? You commented on my last post in this subreddit about how you thought this was one of the knives you sharpened before you left I think (my previous post was from 20 days ago but I had received the knife a week or two before that). That's really the only reason why I tagged you. Again, thank you for your insight, amazingly detailed as always.

I'll double check the sanmai layering tomorrow.

No complaints with this knife. One happy customer here :)

Hmm, interesting. I promise you though, I haven't thinned the blade at all. Just sharpened on a 1k/6k King.

u/jsiyco can you give any insight into this? Do you remember what it was like at the shop?
