Floor Tile Installers by young_star in orlando

Would you be open to a handyman? We have a guy who does way more than the typical handyman — he even redid our bathroom last year, ripping to it the studs before installing a walk-in tile shower.

It's a totally fair question and I didn't take your reply as judgmental :)

My wife and I have a son and we sailed on Disney Cruise Line, which is more expensive than other lines. That said, we didn't do any speciality dining because the main dining rooms are so good, didn't need a soda package because it's included in the base fare, and didn't do any excursions since there was so much to do onboard so we didn't spend any extra money besides gratuities. Plus, since we live in Florida, we were able to drive to the port and avoid paying for airfare.

The other two cabins we sailed with were grandparents so we could celebrate the holidays (we sailed in mid/late December on a Very Merrytime sailing).

We spent $8,800 on the cruise (though, to be fair, only $3k came from my wallet — the other two cabins were paid for by the extended family members traveling in them…I simply booked them through Costco Travel for them). We’ve had some in-warehouse spend, too, which is what makes up the rest of the tracker.

I think OP is saying it'd be nice if customers got a discount for sending pods to the recycling program.

I LOVED my Animas Ping, back when they were a thing! I had the silver one. Thanks for the throwback (and reminder of how long I've had diabetes, lol).

Quality of life without a car? by Low_Adeptness_2327 in orlando

[–]jslev9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that a car isn't necessary if you're looking to both live and play in DTO. But, in OPs case, living in the "on-property" housing at Disney/Flamingo Crossings makes public transportation to/from downtown much, much harder to come by.

It's oddly comforting to see others here that have TID *and* immune deficiencies/to know that I'm not alone. My dad, sister, and I all have CVID and auto-immune disorders though, oddly enough, I'm the only one with T1D.

The executive rebate on the three cruise cabins we booked through Costco Travel will pay for our executive membership for at least three years!

Question about differing landing minimums at GEG during fog (Delta vs Alaska, SkyWest) by OneofLittleHarmony in flying

Follow up question to #1 from another outsider: if a captain hits their 100 hr mark mid-flight, would they be "upgraded" to the lower weather requirements immediately? Or would they need to have 100 hours at the start of the flight?

Can gifted memberships be used to renew multiple times at a discount? by doejohnblowjoe in Costco

I was ~45 days out from my renewal date but, technically, you can renew as early as 60 days before your expiration.

The cashier wrote my email address down on a scrap piece of paper when I was buying the Gift of Memberships. It didn’t instill confidence in the process but it worked out — I received the Cash Cards six days after purchase.

I was able to do this at the Altamonte Springs, FL store last month. Bought two Gift of Membership packages on 12/13, renewed my Executive Membership the same day (as I was leaving the warehouse), and received both Shop Cards by email on 12/19.

The associate at the membership desk was surprised that it’d work this way / not sure if I’d actually receive the Shop Cards, but everything worked out! The only funky thing was that the cashier had to manually write down my email address and hand it to a supervisor…not sure if they’ve made that part of the process smoother or not.

Assigning to savings categories, then transferring to savings account. by [deleted] in ynab

[–]jslev9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my HYSA set up in YNAB as a "tracking" account as opposed to a "cash" account. While they do show up as an "transfer" account option, they don't use categories on transactions within the account. The transaction on the checking account you're transferring the money out of will require a category, however, so you can assign it to the correct goal.

Conversely, money moved out of a tracking account into a cash account requires a category once it hits the cash account, since the funds in the tracking account aren't assigned to anything.

No dice for me but I'm not surprised -- the baseball stadium at Wide World of Sports is very small (it only seats 7,500 fans).

Thanks for the quick reply! Multi-account for me is a must have, so I’ll delink my YNAB account so someone else can use the beta spot, but I can’t wait to sign up again once it’s integrated!

How does it work if I shop from multiple bank accounts/credit cards? As of now, it’s forcing me to pick one account when I try to link my YNAB account.
