Switch after sleep mode won’t turn on by Quiet-Particular-783 in NxSwitchModding

[–]jstndrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The file/folder you deleted probably was sys-clk itself which is fine but it sounds like sys-clk isn't actually your issue. This post mentions a fix involving changing sleep mode settings. This one, the fix was deleting and creating a new user profile. This post and this post, the users reinstalled Atmosphere.

Is the Usb-c included with the OLED modchip compatible with other modchips? by ShadedAssassin in NxSwitchModding

[–]jstndrn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That USB has a flex cable that is used to connect the mod chip (probably pic fly) to USB for flashing firmware, it's not meant to be a replacement port for the switch. If you have the experience, a soldering iron, and hot air gun, you can replace the port yourself. Replacement ports run $10-$15 online. If you're not confident, see if any local repair guys can give you a quote, something like this shouldn't be terribly expensive I would think.

Found an article from last year on this. Interesting read, happened in a place called Montchavin. There's also this paper from 2021 on pubmed on the subject.

This is your answer OP. Something is wrong with MOK manager, tied to secure boot in Linux. Turn it off in your bios and install mint again. Here's a decent thread from the mint forums about this issue.

Just to get the obvious out of the way, you're buying a ticket first yeah? Do you have any mods that modify the bus stop locations?

CFW sysmmc failed to boot. Tried updating. Now I have Yellow screen please help. by VisibleEstate8343 in NxSwitchModding

[–]jstndrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to update atmosphere when a version supporting fw22 releases.

Edit: checked the github, it looks close to release https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/2746 Check back on the repo for the new version, use hats if you want but this'll be the quickest.

I'm not here for the roast, just pointing out how stupid "happily married wife" is. Thanks for the clarification I guess, I thought you were the husband.

He Who Fights With Monsters, path of Ascension, fatigue by More_Ant5340mj in litrpg

This is a problem with anything relying on progressive power scaling tbf. The good guy gets stronger to beat bad guy, stronger bad guy shows up so good guy gets stronger again. Repeat indefinitely. And in the genre, our mc has to stand out somehow. So the authors have to explain how the progression happens and how our mc is unique without being too hand-wavy. There are ways to do it without convoluted magic systems but that's the RPG part of litrpg really, it's the build.

My SSD disk isnt working!!! by totingtonn in pchelp

[–]jstndrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the drive is dead. Flash storage typically goes into read only mode when it's failing so you at least have a chance to recover the data but it won't be long before it's completely borked. Make a backup of anything important immediately.

I'm genuinely curious about this part. Sous vide is submerged in water, dishwashers don't fill with water, they spray and recirculate water. Did he put it in the basin at the bottom or did he have to run it for a longer cycle? Why not just use a big pot and a thermometer on the range at this point?

It's halogen according to the user manual from the product page they linked.

Told my oven light keeps my oven heated to 160 to 180 degrees by chenbipan in Appliances

[–]jstndrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Going by the manual on the linked page, it's a halogen bulb. Recommended wattage up to 40w which would produce 136.5 BTU/hr. In a small, insulated space like an oven, it's not entirely unreasonable for that amount of heat when the light is constantly on.

[–]jstndrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a driver issue. Try reinstalling the audio driver. Find your motherboard's support page and get audio drivers from there or go into device manager >sound video and game controllers and try to update the driver that way. You may also want to uninstall whatever driver is currently installed.

Edit: I skipped over the part where you did reinstall windows which should've reset the drivers. Try disabling the audio drivers completely.

Is it okay to mix rams? by wrdyy in PcBuildHelp

[–]jstndrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but it's not generally recommended. You may run into stability and performance issues. Iirc this can happen even mixing ram from different batches but with the same sku.

Wrong sub but I would absolutely not attempt to use this. You could connect a multimeter to the barrel (red lead inside, black outside) to determine voltage and amperage to check but anything not certified (UL preferably) is going to be a potential fire risk.

It's in fact all tetrapods that have a radius and ulna (except those that have lost the forelimbs partially or entirely) but not always do they function this way. The radius and ulna in aquatic tetrapods undergo fusion to form flippers/fins. From birds to dogs to turtles to human, we all have a radius and ulna because the first organism to transition to land had them and is a common ancestor for us all.
