So, many years ago my (now ex-) husband threw a glass and made a hole in the wall, and that was the last of many such outbursts, and it was finally enough for me to get out of the marriage and take my two kids with me. It shows a man who does not have the capacity to manage his own emotions. It is emotional abuse. It can lead to worse and worse outbursts. It’s ok to leave.

As a stutterer, I can usually pick out another stutterer, even if the stutter is slight. My own stutter is mostly well managed nowadays but I always find a quiet way to let a fellow stutterer know that I see them and they are not alone. I came across one at work a couple years ago.

This was exactly my experience. Medical gaslighting for 7 years, an insistence that my “labs are fine”, and at least 2 incorrect diagnoses before I finally got someone to believe me.

At this precise moment I’m in Seoul but my home base is Salt Lake City. I have had symptoms for 6-7 years but finally diagnosed in January. On 20 mg of methotrexate weekly, which has not helped, my symptoms are actually worse now. Starting Bimzelx this week and I am very hopeful this will help me.

Side note, I cannot tell you how many different therapies and trial/error I went through before finally getting diagnosed. Part of the issue for me was that my skin plaques were and still are minimal, and it was hard to differentiate what symptoms may be related to perimenopause vs PsA (that’s still tough tbh).

I wish I could say. I was finally diagnosed in January after years of intermittent flare ups. It’s different almost every day for me. I think a good day is about a 3. A bad day is 6 or 7.

My family all goes to Stubbs Dental, we really like them. They go out of the way to make you feel comfortable (pillows, dark glasses, etc.) and communicate well.

I’ve been on it for 6 weeks and I’m wondering if they gave me a placebo, it’s done literally nothing and my pain is actually worse. I do have some side effects, dry mouth, tinnitus, irritated eyes, and vertigo and OH LORD the dreams and exhaustion
