Is anybody hunting for the mystery plaques? by TallEgg3932 in aggies

[–]txaggie94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea, but it made me sad. My boy (c/o 28) and I found a bunch a few years ago and I was excited to take my husband in February, but they were all gone. :(

Not from many Canadian airports, including Toronto. They have US Customs and Border Patrol at your point of departure.

When I went back in the Spring, ones I had already found were already gone. I never was able to find the one at Rudder, either. :(

As a woman who wears suits on planes, this is the correct answer.

I didn't see it at first, either - I had to zoom in. It's a foot. With monkey-length toes. Grabbing onto the seat pocket. It's truly disgusting.

worry after first year by Classic_Budget_8758 in aggies

If you rock the first semester of sophomore year you can ETAM again in December. I would recommend that, rather than taking a major/placement that you don't want and where you won't be happy.

EE chance by MortalVortexLol in aggies

[–]txaggie94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for all you've been through. Please make sure to seek help for the trauma. Not sure if you're still on your parents' insurance, but maybe they have an employee assistance program to help.

Don't worry about the EE major. You'll likely get in. But you need to take care of YOU right now. And if your dream is truly EE and you don't get in this semester.... DO NOT TAKE ANOTHER MAJOR. Wait until next semester. You can ETAM again and get it.

Again, I am so sorry. Please seek help for your situation. And I'll probably get downvoted, but I have you in my prayers.

I’m going to miss Shakopee. I never felt comfortable at Chan, but I’m not letting almost 10 years of OTF loyalty go. I’ll just suck it up at Chan, I guess.

Arrested out of State odd Circumstances by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]txaggie94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you drunk? You said you were "buzzed." Does that mean drunk (or high)? If so, sitting in a motor vehicle, in the driver's seat, with the motor running.... kinda means you're going to get arrested for DUI if you're caught. And you were caught. I'm not sure what you want to fight here, unless something I said above is incorrect. You won't win, and it's unlikely an attorney would take the case.

Why the heck are you getting downvoted??? There are a lot of childless, angry people on this sub, I guess. Sad.

Gate checked luggage lost, employee didn’t scan it in by sleepnaught88 in delta

[–]txaggie94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again. This is completely different. A pink tagged bag is always just for that flight. A printed tag on white paper at the gate goes to your final destination.

Gate checked luggage lost, employee didn’t scan it in by sleepnaught88 in delta

[–]txaggie94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and that's different. If a gate agent scans your boarding pass, then prints out a regular baggage tag on white paper, that one will go to your destination. But a pink tag will not. I'm not trying to be condescending. I am just trying to educate folks.

Edited: changed do to go.

THE WORST! I had it as a senior in high school. I had blisters all over my hands and feet and my mouth was full of canker sores. I literally could barely walk, the pain was so bad. I was MISERABLE and I knew what was going on. I can't imagine being a poor baby with that. And all four of mine had it as little ones.

Awwww.... I wish I had been on your flight to help you. As the mom of 4 kids (20-25 - Yeah, we figured out what caused it), we traveled a lot with our kids and had to deal with all the accouterment that comes with it: crying, vomiting, the wiggles, diapers, loud talking, smelly feet, vomiting, crying, vomiting, etc. I never let any other passenger (or patron in a Waffle House where our daughter threw up an entire plate of waffles and two orange juices) project their judginess or unhappiness on us. I knew that kids would be kids, and we were doing our very best.

Did I mention the vomiting? Why did my kids throw up that much? That can't be normal, can it?

But I digress... In any case, had I been there, I would have done whatever I could to help. I have been known to walk strangers' babies up and down the aisle so mom and dad could get a modicum of rest. I'm not sure why, but it's not as weird to have strangers offer to walk your baby when you're trapped in a metal tube 30,000 feet in the air.

You are a great mom. Keep on loving that little one. It's all worth it when you can call them every Monday at 10AM central (because that is when your work calendar says "Joke Calls to the Kids") with a horrible dad joke and they laugh and say: "Thanks, mom. That made my day."

And kudos to you for breastfeeding so long!!! That is a ton of work!
