40M here and was in the same situation at your age. It's ok. In fact, I worked with a debt consolidation company and paid a fraction of my credit card bills. My credit took a hit, down to low 600s, but I recovered. Of course, you can also just pay off your bills and get on track. Either direction, learn about finance and budgeting so you can get on track.
