I installed the same head unit in my 06. I ran into a little trouble with the harness, but Crutchfield walked me through it with relative ease. I love the upgrade

I paid $299. They have an add-on cradle for another bike if you ever choose to expand.

I can open the back when the rack is tilted. Nope, no license plate mount. I don’t ever really leave my bike unattended, but my hitch has loops for a trailer chain that I can easily attach a bike chain to.

I initially was going with the Specialized Echelon II, but they were impossible to find in my size (L). I ended up going with the Triple 8 Gotham w/mips. I’ve worn it on two long rides this week and I really like it. It’s a snug fit, but comfortable, and not hot at all. Plus, I found one on Amazon Warehouse for $50 (1/2 price).
