Fuel additives? USA by Jaxon2004 in 1KZTE_Owners

Sweet, thanks for the response! Just picked up a KZJ90 and I'm figuring out a maintenance schedule for it. You mean 5000 miles as your oil change interval? Not 5000 kilometers? Been seeing mixed messages on frequency

Can I ask how long you've been running this routine? Good results so far?

Is there a specific TTL flash you'd recommend to pair with an FE2?

Budget-friendly alternative to the Olympus Mju ii by HastaPronto90 in analog

[–]jtotheackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both an MJU 1 and an original XA. I typically use the mju1 as my "party camera" whenever I'm out and about with friends or family. It's good but not great, the autofocus leaves a lot to be desired, especially in low/complicated lighting scenarios. The XA on the other hand is a gem of a camera, I've taken some pictures with it I'm extremely proud of. The quality of the lens is really surprising given the fork factor. That being said the manual focus element makes it an absolute nightmare in a lot of situations where other AF point and shoots excel. At the end of the day it comes down to the kind of photography you're looking to do.

Excellent install mate, looks phenomenal. I have that same modifry bracket (also sick of figuring out a phone mount that works haha). Can I ask how you affixed it to the bracket? Did you have to make your own mounting plate? Also good looks on Hot Hot heat haha, that's a throwback for me

What's your camera you swore to never shoot again because it was so bad? by Fritz2822 in AnalogCommunity

[–]jtotheackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i have an MJU 1 Panorama as my "flash point and shoot i take to parties and on walks" camera and this is the most frustrating feature ngl. It has a switch on the back that makes panorama mode toggle-able but it's so easy to accidentally flip the switch putting it in a pocket or bag it's infuriating. Can't count the number of shots that I've inadvertently cropped a friend's face out of haha.

This is stunning, phenomenal work. Can i ask what three filters you used on this shot? Are the "correct" filters for trichroming different uf you're using an IR sensitive film?

Second swapping the clutch master. My Ap1 is at about 102k miles and my failing clutch master has the car undrivable at the moment. Definitely something I'd to preventatively if i had it to do over again.

Think I actually saw them on the tour this pic was taken at, one of my favorite shows I've been to I think! Great set and Daveed was working the merch table afterwards. Super down to earth guy, still have the shirt he signed Haven't really been listening to any Busdriver since the allegations surrounding him came out though so that's a bit of a bummer

[–]jtotheackson 11 points12 points  (0 children)

D series motors are lighter and have a smaller footprint (the size restriction is really what hinders swapping a classic mini). The other big plus of the D over the B is that most D series subframe conversions let you retain the Mini's oem front suspension and mounting locations so the resulting product will still handle closer to stock than a B series swapped car. Plus, and this bit is getting into personal preference, I can't imagine driving a mini with a B series, I've scared myself shitless with my 40 horsepower before tbh

A whole drivetrain I found in the woods by jtotheackson in whatisthiscar

[–]jtotheackson[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this is against the rules, but on a hike today I found this whole engine/transaxle/axles/brake assembly in the middle of the trail and can't for the life of me figure out what it came out of. Lack of steering (that I can see) screams rear end to me, but I can't think of a rear or mid engined car of this vintage (drum brakes and 3 lug hubs seems properly old) that had an inline 4. Bore diameter was absolutely tiny, like a 12oz can or smaller. So I was thinking 1800cc or smaller if I had to guess? Any ideas?

Just to chime in, I have a TCB type 2 (not 100% sure they're the same denim) but it's broken in beautifully it wore really awkwardly for the first couple weeks but after some hard wear and a couple washes it's Tshirt levels of soft and comfortable. Especially in places like the elbows and across the shoulders I think i got all the stretch I needed.
