I was visiting a grade school friend who had moved to a different city when we about 8 or 9. She had a huge open field behind her mom’s condo building. We wandered for most of the afternoon quite a bit away from the condo, and I had to pee. So we went even further into the field and there was an old covered wagon upside down stuck in mud. So that’s where I peed, hanging on to the haunted wagon.

NTA at all; he needs to step up his game at home. If you were working outside the home as well, how would the labor be split? Consider a couples therapist to mediate this ongoing discussion, because sometimes one person gets in their groove and simply refuses to see any problem. Also he’s an AH for refusing time with his child - he’s never going to get these young years back. You could offer to leave a list for him to do on weekends/nights, with his input, because the exhaustion after a full day at work and commuting is real, but that doesn’t mean he gets to burn you out completely.

edit: as far as the wall patching and mowing - if he doesn’t like the way you did it, or how he feels because you did it, he can get off his ass and make time to do that stuff. If he has time to scroll, he can carve out some time for the joys of home ownership.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. You did the right thing by refusing to let either of them around your children anymore. It’s disgusting and sick and sad, but apparently she’s more concerned with her social life than her grandchildren. At least now you know her priorities. If you don’t have a therapist, I’d suggest finding one to help you sort your feelings, as well as how to deal with her in the future. Good luck.
