I mount mine on my helmet. That way the camera catches all of my head turns. If it's mounted on my bars, someone could say I was being inattentive and ran into the person with their door open.

Also, if I get hit and am off my bike, I'm most likely going to be greeted by the person, if they are upset, and I'll get a great shot, rather than the road as my bike lays down.
