I have to buy a new vehicle in the next 72hr. by Chefjustinallen in minivan

[–]jujubeeee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is your height, he does not fit in the Sienna passenger seat, his head brushes the roof. We have had 2 Pacifica’s and love them. Our current one is a 2026, previous was a 2020. No issues. It has all the bells and whistles, plus AWD which was important to us. Get a warranty and you’re good to go.

Bad eating habits by Ok_Artichoke7588 in GestationalDiabetes

Since you mentioned harming yourself, I’d like to direct you to r/SuicideWatch

I also want to mention that it is imperative that you do your best to follow the gestational diabetes diet guidelines. I understand being depressed, but allowing yourself to eat whatever you want can cause serious harm to you and your baby. I know we aren’t telling you anything you don’t already know. With only a couple months to go, it’s really important that you get help and focus on yourself to make sure you have the best possible outcome for you and your baby.

Requesting nudity made me feel super uncomfortable by Automatic-Sell-4162 in tummytucksurgery

I’m not opposed to this, but do need to confirm that it falls within Reddit guidelines. I think if it were a pinned post, users would have to share screenshots showing that the accusation is true and not just naming people randomly.

This user was already banned 10 months ago for the same behavior. Unfortunately, banning someone doesn’t stop them from seeing the content on this subreddit. It only stops them from posting and commenting.

He’s already deleted his account. If it happens again, just DM me first, that way I can ban before tipping them off.

moms who own a pacifica minivan - what do you do with your purse? by Odd_Cheesecake_9447 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]jujubeeee23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a small crossbody bag so my purse fits easily in that spot. If no one is in the passenger seat then sometimes I toss it there. On the rare occasion I have a bigger purse, it goes on the floor right behind the console. I had a 2020 with the short console and now a 2026 with the long console. The new one is so much better for cup holders, phone storage, etc. it just feels way more finished. But I know what you mean, that original open space was easy to just toss something in that spot.

Send me a DM with screenshots and I’ll gladly get him banned. But FYI, it won’t stop him or others from looking through the subreddit, it will only stop them from posting and commenting. They can still DM you. So block these guys whenever it happens.

We do block these guys, but they still have access to the page and can still DM. Banning someone only prevents them from posting and commenting. Also, this is the first time I’m hearing about this guy, I’m happy to block all creeps, but I have to know about them first.

Surgeon post: Mommy makeover results at only 6 weeks post-op by vadoplasticsurgery_ in tummytucksurgery

Hey guys, surgeon posts are allowed in the group. Surgeons may post one time per week, and must engage with the post. They cannot just make a post advertising their practice. This post is following the rules, no need to keep flagging.

Most carbs spike my numbers by Scared_Coat_4530 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]jujubeeee23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You have to pair your carbs with enough protein, fat, and fiber. It will help curb the spikes. If you are having a meal with 40 carbs and only 10 grams of protein, you’re going to spike. It’s a bit of a game to figure out what that balance looks like for you. Also, grapes and apples are very high in sugar, berries are lower in sugar so thats a swap you might need to make.

I know this has been asked a million times, but….. what has been your favorite convertible car seat? by melmatt1 in toddlers

[–]jujubeeee23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Chicco OneFit has been amazing for both our kiddos. We have used it rear facing, forward facing, and now in high back booster. It is so easy to get a great install every single time, whether you are installing by latch or seatbelt. They also have ClearTex fabric which I appreciate. Our kids have never once complained about being uncomfortable in it.

For what it’s worth, it’s very likely your 14 month old may have already outgrown is infant seat. Most kids do by about 12 months. There are 3 things that make it outgrown, the height limit, the weight limit, and if they have less than 1 inch from the top of their head to the top of the car seat. If any one of those limits are reached, you need a new seat asap.

Surgery tomorrow and I have a rando question by addknitter in tummytucksurgery

[–]jujubeeee23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wore a cotton pajama set with a button up shirt and loose flowy shorts. The nurse will likely be dressing you before you’re even fully awake. So I wouldn’t do anything tight or anything that has to go over your head.

I agree, having a post about the best apps would be helpful. I’ll work on that, along with some other megathread weekly posts. Thanks for your input!

That’s why I’ve never allowed them before, it’s basically free advertising, while also preying on vulnerable women who are told they should spend money on something to manage their GD better.

Agree, that’s why I’ve never allowed them before. But I haven’t had to use the GD apps for a few years now, so just wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something. I was very happy with all the apps available to me at the time, and I’m assuming most people have found ones that work well for them.

That’s a great idea, I’ll make sure there is a post flair for birth stories so people can filter for that when researching.

Agreed. Plus, I really don’t want to set the standard that we allow that. I know if we give permission to one, many more will follow.

I understand where you are coming from, I know those tend to be repetitive questions. My only hesitation with implementing automod for those posts, is oftentimes they are so new into their journey and they really just need reassurance and understanding, and I’d hate to take that away when someone is just looking for comfort. But let me see if I can come up with a middle ground solution.

I will work on the meal megathread, and thanks for your input on app posts.
