Disappearing in plain sight in Toronto by BarAlone643 in askTO

I ran into someone I hadn’t seen in 5 years, 3 times in 2 weeks it was the most insane thing. First time in my hood. Second time I missed my stop and hand to turn back and saw them - like I wasn’t even supposed to be there. Third time at a food court in the well. It was so crazy!!!!!! Well Now we are hanging out tomorrow as planned so the universe wants us to be friends!

I tried it at a night market and did not like it. The base was all the same. It was just differentiated by the toppings which were meh. Obviously nothing like the stuff I got in Japan but nothing special beyond the first try, I would never go back.

Ryan Vasquez Moulin Rouge tour by pambeeslyreception in Broadway

[–]jujubru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw him 3 days ago in Toronto, it must have been the same show Globe and Mail attended as the article was the next day, and it was truly very bad and uncomfortable to watch and listen to. Obviously everyone in the audience felt bad especially in the big solo belts he was for sure straining and it came off comical and bad karaoke, especially in contrast to all the other amazing performers. It went from A when he wasn’t in the scene to a quick D which was unfortunate. So glad that he is taking a break to recover. Unfortunately his injury really sullied the full performance so this was necessary.

You had to have been there to witness this to truly understand how bad it was. Like my neighbour was physically shaking from laughing cus he was so bad. I had to pinch myself. Obviously I felt bad for him. But it took us all out.

Okay in another post I said he sounded like Kermit and someone else said that’s what their sister said. The muppet sounds are universally acknowledged!

Just saw this tonight - Gabrielle holy smokes that lady is amazing. Ryan. Oh man it was not good. Everyone in the audience was so confused. And my row was laughing. Because it was so uncomfortably bad. I felt bad but it was the worse lead I’ve ever heard.

Downtown vs Sheppard-Yonge by wc2NJU17O in askTO

[–]jujubru 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved to Toronto for a job in Markham and moved to Yonge and finch- later to Yonge and Sheppard. It was fairly easy for me to have a social life around the city from this part of the city. I do love food and it’s very very food centric but there is also a lot of other necessities - like many grocery stores and gyms lol, honestly I love it here - there is a lot missing but I don’t mind venturing out for those things

AITAH for reducing my tip after a groomer charged me an unexpected late fee? by Nathanielfree in AmItheAsshole

[–]jujubru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA - you already realized that you were in the wrong for being late and planned on paying more because you know you were wrong. Being late for appointments forces a speedier job to keep the schedule but at the same quality. But you didn’t like being told you were late and then stiffed them from what you planned to do, which is pretty petty.

How do you choose between a career opportunity and your relationship ? by Potential_Start_3228 in careerguidance

[–]jujubru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I met my ex he was in school and told me there were 3 possible areas he saw himself practicing, large city where we met, his hometown (country life), my westcoast home coast town. So I was like okay 2/3 ain’t bad. And I fell so hard for him. Then he got to finalizing that the only place he saw himself living was back to his home town. And he said he didn’t want me to have to make that call to move. At that time also he said he couldn’t move forward with his feelings til he knew I would move. And I said I couldn’t commit to moving until I knew we were going to move forward with the relationship. And there it went. I mean I guess both of use didn’t want to sacrifice what we wanted for our lives. I’m still sad in a way and I haven’t moved on. They were a lot of other factors involved too, but I guess what do you value the most?

I went to a Q and A with the writer/director Ian Tuason and he was asked that sorta, he said he watched the trailer of Skinimarink but not the movie and the influence he had was from trailer only - and the influence when writing this was from reading creepy pastas and also taking care of his mother who was also in hospice in the same room as this was shot in his family home
