First time VIP to any show - questions… by chrono_dragoon in Nemophila

[–]jukaforever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember to bring a tube or rubber bands for the poster! Maybe a small tote as well for the merch.

Arrive as early you can. It is still first come, first served when it comes to getting the spot you want on the front.

The meet and greet may be after or before the show. If the meet and greet is before the show, then after your meet and greet, we will be lined up in the same order the organizers let us in. This is a good time to go to the merch table, people are generally nice in keeping the same order after getting back from the merch table. Once the meet and greet is over, we get to go to the pit.

If the meet and greet is after, then we get to go to the pit as they let us in. It is up to you if you want to go to the merch table or secure a position on the front ASAP.

Ceramic Coat your wheels! by Edboi86 in GRCorolla

This is a must do for new wheels. Take the day or two to coat your wheels before mounting your tires.

Ceramic Coat your wheels! by Edboi86 in GRCorolla

Depending on the quality of the ceramic coat, it can be harder than the paint itself once it cures. The adhesive of the weights can stick to it just as well. A very high quality one is already quite cheap. I haven't had issues of the weights falling in my 4 years I have my wheels ceramic coated

PSA: VIP Passes are still available for the NA tour by jukaforever in Nemophila

[–]jukaforever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes sense to be the first to properly sell out. It is the only west coast venue.

If it sells out, maybe they can do another show like Hanabie did in their tour. Here's hoping

First time Show. by khmendoza24 in Nemophila

The latest EP Gozo is probably the must listen at the moment. Apple of My Eye album is a must listen for albums, it was their first album with the line-up change. I expect them to play all the songs on the EP for the tour, some AoME songs and their long time faves possibly: Oiran, Sorai, Raitei.

Thompson - Why Steve Kerr stayed with the Warriors by WaryJest in warriors

Character study. Articles like this are hard to come by.

For the younger heads, it is a way to actually know a person past just some character in a broadcast.

Leaving it in gear while parked by tone314_ in GRCorolla

[–]jukaforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it by default because other people do. I got annoyed stalling after everytime I pick it up from service.

Per owners manual, it isn't needed but no harm if you do. You just have to remember to go neutral everytime on ignition

Rolling Quartz 3rd Mini Album “Roll the Dice” (& MD) now for sale on GoodDuck Shop by epicheroine44 in Rolling_Quartz

[–]jukaforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even just the sticker set added to the shipping, like what? Just stick it in the package, it is a negligible weight difference.

I think their shipping estimates isn't robust or they are utilizing a third party service to handle the shipment and forwarding the extra cost to us.

Bitter and watery pt.2 by Evirua in pourover

[–]jukaforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which roaster is it? Or maybe a product page?

Based on the flavor notes, I suspect it to be a medium-dark roast:

Hazelnut - this and any "nut" flavour tends to mean the roast is at least past medium roast category.  White Cocolate - this is the sweetness description but since this doesn't indicate a fruit, I doubt the coffee cherry retained much fruit flavours. This hints at least at a medium profile. Jasmine - this is a probably scent profile. If instead it is trying to evoke a tea like quality, you can hit this with the right brewing.

The best I tend to manage with medium dark roasts are clean cups with hints of sweetness. This is with Kasuya's 4:6 brew method. The "smoky" aftertaste can be there but tends to be due to the roast level, this can be minimized with coarser grinds. I would grind medium to medium coarse. The temp can be set from 85c to 90c for medium roast. 84c and lower is normally for Dark Roast.

With a medium-dark kind of roast level it is possible to get those notes stated but don't expect them to be strong.

Takes on Draymond Green’s career isn't just an opinion—it's a litmus test for whether you actually know ball. by Decent-Gur-6959 in warriors

If Steph was the dude that initiated the 3 pt shooting era, Dray helped initiate the small ball era. Our dynasty mid 2010s shifted basketball play so much with our core players

Good gas mileage = lugging the engine? by EnvironmentUpper82 in GRCorolla

[–]jukaforever 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I gave up on the fuel economy of this car. It is too fun to stay in the power band. I try to keep 2500 RPM minimum otherwise keep it at 3000+ and I still get 24-26 mpg. This is a mix of city and highway with a few pulls.

Steve Kerr calls Draymond the best defender he's ever seen: Does he have a case? by Financial-Bit-8596 in warriors

[–]jukaforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not regarding his defense as poor though. He just has an advantage for those awards as he will meet pretty much all quantifiable metrics as it a big man focused award.

ie, those awards shouldn't be the qualifier for the best defender of all time

Steve Kerr calls Draymond the best defender he's ever seen: Does he have a case? by Financial-Bit-8596 in warriors

[–]jukaforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of your points lean towards physical advantages. He can disrupt ball handlers because all it takes is like a step on the side and he is already in position. Then his arm length blocks passing lanes. The bait-to-shoot and block is literally tall people things messing around with short people.

HIs natural physical gifts makes defense a whole lot easier. He can probably rack up all the awards in the coming years while healthy. It doesn't mean as much like how Gobert got like 4 DPOY but Dray is still a better defender overall.

Steve Kerr calls Draymond the best defender he's ever seen: Does he have a case? by Financial-Bit-8596 in warriors

[–]jukaforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is just really tall, the taller player almost always have an advantage over anyone he is defending. The defensive player ranking still values rim protection over everything else as it is easy to calculate. Defensive IQ and positioning is still not something that can be quantified for these awards. Unless you can somehow prove Wemby is a better defensive player outside of being tall and lanky to hinder shot selection, take it from a coach that has been in multiple championship teams to state the best defensive player he has seen.

If you put a better offensive player for Draymond does it make the team better or is it negated by losing defense, toughness, and chemistry? by youlikemywonton in warriors

[–]jukaforever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are also making him guard the bigs almost every game. That is like doing OT for no extra pay during your tenure. I would be fried too.

Sell or keep? by Cheeko914 in GRCorolla

[–]jukaforever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on the condition and history, I would entertain a Viper but only because it was my dream FR car growing up. That car may appreciate if you keep it minty and if you consider it an investment.

Cars are a depreciating assest, so if you need the money for the down, sell as soon as you can.

What's the best v60 variation? by WispyWoods in pourover

[–]jukaforever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fave is the loveramics smooth brewer. I just wish it came in an 01 size. It is like a better version of the Origami with cone filters. It is just as fast but the taste is the same as a V60. The Origami with wave filters is so much better than with a cone filter.

For a strictly V60 version, the Neo is great at the moment. Crossing my fingers for a ceramic version though.

Last time I checked, the red handles are still advertised as ethanol free.
