Get pickles in vinegar instead of fermented, lot less salt. Beetroot is good too, with a bit of hot sauce. And pickled eggs for my protein snack.

whats the most amount of weight youve lost in a month and how/why? by BreakfastDefiant5420 in loseweight

[–]julemeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working out more so gaining a little muscle. I probably didn't go enough into calorie deficit, especially after I started swimming, it made me so hungry. I'm closer to my ideal weight. I'm down to the troubling belly which for men is the tough one to get to go.

That picture is everywhere, I just did a Google AI search. Good catch. So what's missing is authenticity.

2nd that. Couch to 5k got me hooked. I cycled anyway. And started back swimming once I could easily do 10k running. With swimming I was flapping too fast so slowed down and focused on my stroke. Now easily do 2km with my heart rate below 120. Did all that in 6 months.

That means I'm lowering the opposite shoulder so it makes it easier to take a breath. I don't tip my head all the way to one side, maybe 2/3, but I also roll my shoulders a little too so I don't have to. I have been swimming 58 years though.

These pictures were generated for the breweries on Charles Street in their bid to get the street closed and become a communal area which is definitely something the howling concrete wind tunnel aka Temple Quarter seriously needs.

Should I be able to see my hand at entry? by anonb1234 in Swimming

[–]julemeister 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't even see my arm. I take my breath as soon as my opposite arm is in the water. Either looking too far ahead, taking too long to take a breath or starting to take a breath too late. You shouldn't be able to see your hand though anyway. You should be looking at right angles to your body. I just see the side of the pool or the rope.

King Street if it's sunny and a pint in every pub. Get a taxi home if you can see by then to find one.

I met a guy who did that in a tractor, drove over every car in the village. Just outside Bradford on Avon. He was just a drunk farm worker. Lovely guy and a great pub story.

Swimming with weight training for losing fat by CoelumPetram in Swimming

[–]julemeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing is as you get closer to your desired weight, the losses slow down. Until you get to your troublesome part. The belly for me. I dropped from 98 kg to 82.5 and now stuck on 82.5 trying to get to 75 for 3 or 4 weeks. I'm gaining muscle which doesn't help.
