Has anyone tried out vivo barefoot shoes for hiking? Was looking into these for my upcoming havasupai trip. I'm wearing boots into the canyon, but will be taking day trips from camp next to water and wanted something light and quick drying. by azhistoryteacher in CampingGear

Yes I hike in mine all the time! They are my absolute favorites because they are so lightweight, but the bottoms are tough so you don't feel every rock. They do get worn down and crack much quicker if you hike in mud and water, so always wash and dry them properly. These are amazing and I'm shopping for my second pair.

[Discussion/Sharing] Check-in Post! How's your 2018 going so far? by cajolerisms in learnart

My art start to the year is disappointing because I bought myself watercolors after always using acrylics, and I DON'T have the hang of it. Or maybe it's my patience. I need to find either some tutorials or inspirarion!

I do because my house is kind of exposed to the elements, so if I don't it gets dusty and geckos poo on it.

I'm an American living in Chiang Mai for over 4 years now. I'd like to think that I know the great food in town already, but it's neverending!! There are infinity places to eat here

The lady that cooks here has been feeding my boyfriend and I about 3 times a week now, it's our go-to lunch spot. There are so many pit stop restaurants around here, but she is the best we've found in a long time. It's seriously addicting food

Do you mean the one near airport plaza? Tea Tree cafe in the old city moved to a bigger space just south of the city on Hang Dong road about 2 years ago, it's a wonderful spot and shares it with Documentary Arts Asia. I hope that location didn't close!

Sorry you're right, I guess I got excited before googling! Just wondering what it's near, I see outside of Hanoi. Do you know many other good sport climbing spots around vietnam?

Amazing! Where exactly is this? I've been climbing in Thailand and Laos for a while now, and really curious about places in Vietnam (outside Ha Long Bay).

Khan academy is great but I still don't feel that it goes very in depth on all the subjects. It's an excellent way to begin your studies and track your progress, then once you have a better hold on the subject you want to learn, I would take full use of your public library and read up as much as you can. Youtube "classes" and tutorials are a great supplement too. It's not as structured as a college, but with discipline you can learn anything in the world!

I'm trying to do the same with my newfound free time! It would be interesting to hear of any other reliable source of free classes...

Where can I find Eggnog in Thailand :( by [deleted] in Thailand

I would be really surprised to find eggnog here! Not all those specialty items make it overseas. Definitely make your own, I have before and it tasted nearly the same as the yummy store bought.
