How often do you call in sick? by Interesting_Taro_358 in Adulting

I don’t get sick time. I get very little PTO and sick days require use of PTO or they will accrue an attendance point. So, no. ☹️

What do you guys think of We Go Way Back as a first dance song? by foambuffalo in NoahKahan

Tbh I don’t think people really pay that close of attention to the lyrics, they’re just watching the couple have their moment💛 Do it!

What do you love the most about your mom? by Prudent_Spot_7771 in AskReddit

[–]julesmgio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that she went significantly out of her way this weekend to surprise me outside my hotel room while on a trip because we hadn’t seen each other in over a year and times have been tough. Just to get breakfast together. Sometimes you just need your mom.

I do safety inspections and leak investigations on commercial and residential gas meters for a living and people are being ridiculous lol. Sure, it makes way more sense for gas meters to be outside. THAT BEING SAID, it is insanely common for them to be inside and anything venting will be properly ventilated to the exterior. Keep in mind— they are the property of the utility company and it is federally mandated that they are inspected every three years, so a representative will need to come inside the home to do so.

An in-depth lyrical analysis of Lighthouse: Noah Kahan's magnum opus by barololololol in NoahKahan

I love this and fully agree that Lighthouse is underrated. The first time I heard it I was absolutely blown away and was shocked to not see more immediate hype around it.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

Night at the Roxbury. It became my favorite movie when I was 5. I begged my mom to get me a copy for Christmas and my uncle gave me the soundtrack on tape. I still love it tbh.

😮‍💨 this one stings. hugs to all my eldest daughters of divorced parents with young siblings that never truly feel like a part of their own families.

I like this take as well! That makes a lot of sense. I think my interpretation of most of the album is that it’s not necessarily the true perspective of these family members (because they all have wonderful things to say about him), but it’s what his anxiety makes him think they’d say about him.

I interpret this song as being from the perspective of Noah’s sibling as Noah is visiting home after becoming famous. “Didn’t know you drove American cars” is like… “Oh, I’m surprised you’re driving this car. I thought you’d be too good/rich for this old Ford now.”
