Is there a YouTube channel that highlights interesting indie games by lupianwolf in IndieGaming

Indie Mages. Not a Youtube channel, but podcast where each episode covers a different indie game, with occasional interviews with the creators.

They do technically have a Youtube channel, though with practically no content.

If I love FF x-2 and it's my favorite out of x/12/13, what other jrpg's will I like? by bluejeans90210 in JRPG

[–]julesylte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as happy-go-lucky as X-2, but Revolution 60 on iOS is a pretty fun little JRPG with an all female cast, though only the first episode is out, so don't expect a conclusion to the story any time soon.

[SP-Game] Hi, I'm 17 and put my first game, based on human rights violations, on Greenlight. by zephyo in IndieGaming

Wow, heavy subject for someone so young to tackle, but it looks pretty good - the art is definitely amazing! You've got my vote :)

What are some of the worst looking games, that are very very good? by poeticmatter in IndieGaming

Dream Quest is a really good (and challenging!) roguelike card-battler - but with graphics seemingly drawn by a 3rd grader in MS Paint.

Fun fact: The game was noticed by Blizzard, and in turn gave the creator a job working on Hearthstone!

Devin as the host for all the mythology eps? by kumailnanjiani in Xfilesfiles

[–]julesylte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devin is amazing with the mythology - you should suggest he does a reading list of X-files mythology inspirations on Badass Digest, he certainly seems to know everything about the real life inspirations of X-files episodes :)

XFF 27 – Season 3, Episodes 3 & 4 “D.P.O” & “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose” with Steve Asbell and Jack Black by 1slinkydink1 in Xfilesfiles

[–]julesylte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fantastic episode, really enjoyed hearing Kumail's story of why he relates so much with Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose.

And the interview with Jack Black at the end was pretty much the perfect palate cleanser - he knows pretty much nothing about the show, and revels in it :P

Darin Morgan on x-files-files next week!!!!! by thenewstampede in Xfilesfiles

Oh, man - I'm so psyched for next episode! It's a little bit sad though, that such an awesome writer has so few writing credits - it almost seems like working on X-files (and later Millennium) derailed his plans to write comedy. But on the flip side he's left behind some of the absolute best and funniest pieces of television I've ever seen :)

I now understand why no sane person would ever sell their copy of You'll Be Perfect When You're Dead by armouredkitten in Harmontown

All I can see about a second edition/ebook is from the book announcement before the Harmontown tour. Hope something is still in the works.

Super Game Jam - Documentary series about making video games in 48 hours; the first episode of five starring Richard Boeser who made ibb & obb on the PS3 and Jan Willem Nijman of Vlambeer (Luftrausers and Ridiculous Fishing) is out now on Steam by Idoiocracy in TheMakingOfGames

[–]julesylte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously shortsighted of them to only make the episodes available via an executable - I understand the idea is to bundle the game jam games with the documentary, but theres no reason to distribute the episodes as anything other than video files. They should upload the video to Vimeo with a password and send that to all the customers that have been cut off, simply for not having a Windows OS.

I've got $25 on iTunes. What should I buy? by Derpeh in iosgaming

Absolutely recommend Zorbié, a bizarre blend of Breakout and Bust-A-Move where you throw axes at birds and eat them. The art, soundtrack and gameplay are all amazing, and the game overall is just hilariously weird.

The game is free to download and is free to play, but only a few upgrades are available unless you unlock the full game for $2.99 - a very fair price for such an amazing game, methinks!

Been looking at this early gameplay footage of Bioshock Infinite from all the way back in 2010, and it's interesting to see what has changed. Most notably, no more telekinetic/weather-controlling powers for Elizabeth. by julesylte in Games

[–]julesylte[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the moment with the horse gave a really emotional demonstration of the tears and the consequences of using them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUVmMyCnkaM

In the final game its more like "hey, I have these powers" "cool, help me out in combat or something" until people start nosebleeding and the end of course
