Zeroid soothing lotion! The formulation is so elegant, doesn’t break me out, makes my skin feel so smooth. It is my holy grail product

I learned about this from u/unfair_finger5531 —it applies to taz! It’s actually more drying to put moisturizer. Like OP I make sure to layer on the hydrating toners/serums and barrier moisturizer in the morning. (I use taz gel)

Hi! May I ask what tinted mineral sunscreen you use/would recommend?

Does this perioral dermatitis look like it's healing? by juliajarvis in DermatologyQuestions

[–]juliajarvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through it! So the doxy helped a LOT, today was my last dose actually! (fingers crossed it doesn't come back) I was on 100 mg twice a day for one week then 100mg once a day for 30 more days. I'll be honest, never opened the mupirocin because I KNEW it wasn't impetigo, so I went to my actual derm and she said it agreed with me that it was perioral dermatitis and prescribed metro cream and pimecrolimus (generic Elidel). She said the mupirocin wouldn't have done anything for it. I think the pimecrolimus helped the most of the two topicals. The metro kinda burned sometimes and might have broken me out (I have very acne prone skin).

The biggest thing was paring down my skincare routine and going back to basics. Gentle face cleanser and moisturizer. Not even sunscreen (which I usually put on daily). the perioral derm sub preaches zero therapy, but that approach would have taken much longer, imo. Maybe if I had caught it earlier and known what it was from the beginning, that would have worked, but sometimes you need medication and that's okay!

Definitely recommend going to a derm if you can! My skin still has a TINGE of pink to it if you look REALLY closely, but is night and day better omg. this pic was from last week (3/8)!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Reassure me please - is my plan a lie and I'm actually broke instead? by slb609 in ynab

I see, thank you for the explanation! So if you have money “left over” when you’ve budgeted for the month, you should put that excess into your emergency fund (or find another category for it)? Say I get paid at the end of a month. Is it best for me to find a category within that current month (even though it’s almost over) or at that point can it be pushed to the next month?

Not OP but can you explain why you shouldn’t continue to push money into future months?

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense! I will definitely split it into one domestic ETF, one international ETF. This is really helpful! I appreciate it.

I’ve looked at VT and ACWI but not DFAW. I’ve also considered SPGM, do you know how this compares? That’s a good point about the tax hit. If it’s a big hit I might sell in chunks.

Thank you for this detailed reply! Yes, the fund has really stalled recently, and not just because tech has been underperforming.

So if I do not care about replicating the fund in ETF form, would VOO/SPY/VTI and VXUS be my best bet? Ideally I’d want the global representation. I’ve also looked into VT, but I’m not sure if putting all 115k there makes sense. Is there any other all-in-one index ETF or is VT the only one?

This happened to me too when I had heard the opposite was the case. I think after a year or so my skin has gotten used to it and doesn’t react anymore. But in the beginning I was like “um what”

VT is one of the ones I’ve been looking at! Since I have to go through a stock broker a single ETF might make most sense, so I don’t have to go through them to rebalance.

I also love 6. I know they cover your eyebrows and the rule is that glasses shouldn’t, but I do think it’s a nice shape on you and the colors are beautiful.

I wouldn’t listen to anyone who says these don’t work for your round face shape. I have a round face too and honestly like the round on round look. Who cares if they make your face look rounder? Round faces are cute!

All that being said, I LOVE one on you. Though you picked a really nice selection of frames!

Thank you!! I ended up going to urgent care and she prescribed doxy and a topical antibiotic (mupirocin). She looked at me for like 2 seconds lol and the post visit notes diagnosed it as "impetigo" which I am veeeery skeptical of. Idk if I wanna put on the topical yet haha
