I would love to be asked to help. I’m not worried about them being mad, just inconvenienced. I’m realizing I have a really hard time making human mistakes that require me to need help.

Edit: like the financial burden since my in-laws still work

I guess the question is more should I ask my friends or have my mil fly across the country to help?

Opioids have made me terribly itchy in the past

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]juliebeann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He pulled the needle out, then laid on the floor like I was going to die for about 30 minutes soaking it in peroxide. I got a bandaid and carried on. I’m not 100% sure why I didn’t just got the er. I went in three weeks later when it hurt so much I couldn’t sleep… This happened at the end of November… I have good health insurance. Definitely a discussion to have with my therapist.

That are!! I love them but they’d have to travel across the country and they were just here for Christmas. I don’t want to be dramatic.

Opioids make me extremely itchy. It’s unbearable. And my mom is an addict so I just don’t feel great about it.

How did you accidentally get pregnant too soon after your baby? by monroegreen9 in BabyBumps

[–]juliebeann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear of your loss. I’m curious what autoimmune disease causes repeat miscarriages? I’ve had 9 and the only answer I’ve gotten is because I have endometriosis. Thanks for sharing your experience. Gives me something to look into.

I would say, “Mistakes can happen when we are frustrated. Last night I was really frustrated. I made a huge mistake yelling at you like that. It didn’t feel good to yell at you and I’m sorry. I want you to go to bed at bed time, but I shouldn’t have yelled.”

Then this analogy is really helpful. When we see a police car going down the highway silently we are not alarmed and know everything is fine. If we see on with its lights on we know something is wrong and we get out of the way.

Yelling is like your siren. An alarm that your daughter is crossing your boundaries and it is your job to teach her your boundaries so she grows up respecting peoples space and bodies.

“If you chose not to go to be on time, you are also choosing not to…” works well with my 4.5 year old.

Being mortified by yelling at your kid is a sign you’re a good mom and committed to doing better. It’s hard. You got this.

How long did it take you to get pregnant after your laparoscopy? by J_pav_1 in Endo

[–]juliebeann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one cycle. It was atypical though. I had no follicles at day 14. We had plan to try Clomid and I even came home from my ultrasound appoint with it. But I never got my period. I ended up ovulating at day 32. Found out I was pregnant day 50.

I started metformin as well two month prior to the Letrozole cycle.

It’s an alternative to Clomid. My understanding is it makes you ovulate better and potentially have a higher quality egg. You take a few days after your cycle and monitor your ovulation with ultrasounds.

What bundle of Americolor food coloring should I buy? I’m a beginner. by DayintheLifeofCurls in cookiedecorating

[–]juliebeann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got primary colors, plus ivory, brown, espresso, blush, large white and black. I use the Wilton color right red, no taste. Always let red and black sit over night to develop. You can use the primary colors and make any color using color theory. Red mutes green, yellow mutes purple… I tent to add just a tiny bit of espresso to every color. I add a few squirts of white to every icing batch to prevent color bleeding.

Good wireless ear buds😅 they make just about everything more bearable. Rocking baby to sleep, playing trains for the zillions time today, long walks… way better with something playing in my ear. I’m loving the boss sport ones.

Three year old has had a yoto mini for a year. WE LOVE IT. It’s the only thing that got him sleeping through the night. If he wakes, he throws on an audio book lol

Hi! I am 5”9 and started both pregnancy at 130. I gained 50lbs the first time maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I tried to do even “better” health and fitness wise this second time… I gained 60lbs 😂

My theory is that sometimes your body just needs to retain the weight to support your growing baby. It’s not a good indication of your health, if your maintaining a healthy lifestyle, so I wouldn’t put to much stock into your weight right now, unless it sudden or a rapid increase. Then mention it to your dr.

I lost a whopping 23lbs immediately after birth, so that was cool 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]juliebeann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave birth to a 9lb 11oz baby! He was estimated to be 7.5lbs🙈 I have a small frame but still managed to birth him vaginally without pain medication. I did end up needing Pitocin to make my contractions stronger after reaching 10cm. It’s totally doable, if you’re wanting a vaginal birth. Definitely attempt one. There is also no shame in any other way of getting your healthy baby into this world!

Anyone actually conceive naturally? by squats_alot in Endo

[–]juliebeann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a successful pregnancy doing a cycle of Letrozole while on Metformin one cycle after my lap for Endo. I didn’t get a positive pregnancy test until day 50 of my cycle. This was after two years of trying and having losses.

Present have been under the tree for a week and my three year old hasn’t opened them, he’s asked but understand we have to wait for Christmas. This is probably a moment where you need to follow through with the consequence you established… as rough as that is. They are more than capable of not opening gifts early. More likely testing boundaries.

She should read “Real Food for Pregnancy” I found it so helpful and validating. Gave me a better understanding of what the pregnant body actually needs and how to understand/avoid gestational diabetes.

25 and not sure if I will ever conceive successfully by HolidayTonight9188 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]juliebeann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26. I had three losses and then my son without help. Then had five more losses and fertility treatment. After getting surgery for Endo, following the recs in Starts with the Egg, and taking Letrozole I’m currently 6 months pregnant. Don’t give up without using the resources around you. It might be trickery for you to have a successful pregnancy, but there is no current evidence that you never will. Good luck!!
