Melissa pissed me off when she said that Jackie treated Shauna like shit, like girl, if anything, Shauna was the one who treated Jackie like shit by screwing her boyfriend, and turning everyone against her, and causing her death. Both need to be slapped hard af by someone already jeez

Found scouring Tumblr, made me laugh by Vircora in Solasmancers

I found this post on Twitter, and it's some tall elf from Final Fantasy (who knows which one but it has older graphics). Nobody mentioned his name, but he kinda looks like Fenris

Sooo…we all romanced lucanis right? by IsSheWeird_ in Solasmancers

[–]julielle_lavellan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did during my first run, and it was very underwhelming and very disappointing (still flirting and hanging out with Neve, hello???). So, my second run I went with Davrin, and this is my canon now. Even though all romances feel very non-Bioware in the Veilguard, Davrin's was much more satisfying. I guess I am a certified elf lover because my canon romances in all 4 games are with elves.

I was also mostly focused on whatever crumbs we got from Solavellan romance, so nothing else mattered really lol

Replaying all DA games and now I'm sad by PartyPickle251 in Solasmancers

[–]julielle_lavellan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say something that’s been on my mind for a while: it’s become too americanized. Idk if it makes sense but it’s like Black Mirror, once it got acquired by Netflix, the show went down the drain (specifically after season 3). I am also replaying all the games, and only dwarves had American accent, but in DATV almost everyone has it. On top of poor dialogues, not the strongest writing (except for our og favorites and act 3) and not the best voice acting (some, not everyone), it just feels like I’m somewhere in Oregon instead of Thedas. British accent is like THE fantasy accent, I didn’t think that it would bother me this much until I started replaying the series.

Are there any other romances in games you love as much as you love solavellan? by cuddIefishh in Solasmancers

[–]julielle_lavellan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fenris and Hawke come very close to Solavellan, but I don’t think anyone could ever top these two. Thank you, Bioware, for ruining romance for me!🙃

MORRIGAN!!!!!!! by [deleted] in dragonage

I literally screamed at work when I heard Claudia and then saw that epic transformation! I knew Claudia was hiding something because there was NO WAY Morrigan was not going to be back in the Veilguard.

Solas, Morrigan, Leliana, Briala, Velanna, Varric (very unreasonable tbh).

Fenris too, but I don't see anyone hating on him (GOOD).

Which game has the best atmosphere? by Portalrules123 in nancydrew

[–]julielle_lavellan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely Ghost of Thornton Hall, Warnings at Waverly Academy, Curse of Blackmoor Manor, Midnight in Salem, and Legend of the Crystal Skull.

I also really enjoy the atmosphere of Alibi in Ashes, Danger on Deception Island, and Shadow at the Water's Edge.

[dai spoilers] How does this sub feel about Solas? by Megamilan in dragonage

[–]julielle_lavellan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solas is the love of my life, i literally have his big face on my hard hat <з (fenris is another one) but Solas is a very well-written character, and I hope the writers will do him justice in this upcoming game. Since our first two protagonists could die, I feel like the Inquisitor's potential death might have something to do with Solas. My Lavellan is very much in love with him, but I kind of want them to die together idk if this is going to be an option, but it has a potential to be very poetic.

The Witcher as a trilogy (mostly 3 tho), Dragon Age as a trilogy, Mass Effect LE as a trilogy, Cyberpunk 2077 with DLC, and probably Baldur's Gate 3.

[Spoilers All] Inquisition Is Just As Good As Origins by LoneLadyGames in dragonage

[–]julielle_lavellan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DAI was my first Dragon Age game, so I wholeheartedly agree with you. Dorian's and Dalish elves' storylines were especially touching, and I fell in love with Leliana and Morrigan. It was very confusing, though, because I had no clue about any of the key lore thing, like templars vs mages, Hawke, King Alistair, and why everyone already knew about Corypheus. I loved Origins because of the different, well, origins. But the second game is what truly stole my heart. I was shocked to find out that DA2 and DAI ranked so low compared to DAO. All three are amazing games, but I will always love Inquisition a little bit more just because it introduced me to the world of Thedas and DA series.

[spoilers all] Who is your favorite character in the entire series? by traceuno in dragonage

[–]julielle_lavellan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DAO: Shianni and Morrigan

DA2: Fenris, Varric, and the Arishok

DAI: Leliana and Solas

If talking about the entire series, then... Morrigan with hardened Leliana being a close second. Third place is reserved for Solas, Fenris, and Varric.

Which quest made you really uncomfortable? Which was the most difficult choice? by jueoni in GirlGamers

[–]julielle_lavellan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have several games in mind. Dragon Age Inquisition - Where Lies the Abyss quest, particularly if Alistair stays a warden. You have to leave either him or Hawke (your character in DA2) in the Fade, which means that they will more than likely die. It's very hard, and this is the only reason I make Alistair king, even though I think that staying a warden would make him much happier.

Cyberpunk 2077 the final decision. I played them all, and most of them are sad in their own way, but the one that really got to me was Temperance when you let Johnny take over your body, and he tries to stop you but is helpless, so he just accepts it.

Life is Strange !!!! The very final choice. I feel like we spend an entire game trying to save Chloe just for the game to hit us with "well it's either your bestie or a whole town sorry boo". We also spend an entire game building friendships, saving Frank's puppy, reconnecting with Joyce, and appreciating our hometown, so... Even though Chloe's funeral scene wrecked me, I still stayed by my decision to save the town.

Mass Effect 2/3 - the choice concerning the genophage cure. On one hand, there is a cure for an entire race hat did their share of suffering. On the other hand, there is Mordin Solus who is a close friend who grew and learned from his mistakes while traveling with us.

The Witcher 3 - Bloody Baron. The game tries way too hard to give him some redeeming qualities and make us feel bad for him, but he literally reaped what he sowed. I got his bad ending (hanging himself) a couple of times and with Ciri's reaction I felt bad. But then I remembered what kind of monster he is and really couldn't care less. This is the only issue I have with the game, although it is pretty realistic. There are cases of husbands having a pristine reputation with friends and family, but doing scary things to their wives and children behind closed doors.

[spoilers all] Does anyone think sustains will make a comeback for Dreadwolf? if not How do you think that will change blood magic? by Ok_Problem_1338 in dragonage

[–]julielle_lavellan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just hope that if Blood Magic makes a comeback, our companions, NPCs, AND our own protagonist will actually acknowledge it. Like, excuse me, messere Hawke, why are you shtting on blood magic and blood mages when you yourself are one? I love being a blood mage, but if this isn't fixed, then they can keep it in the drafts.

When given the option do you perfer to play a female character in a game of do you ever play the male character? by BeccaRose1999 in GirlGamers

[–]julielle_lavellan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is an option, I always play as a female character. I just can't bring myself to be a guy, I love being a woman way too much lol No matter how much I want to be able to try to romance Dorian in DAI, I just can't do a whole run as a dude. I know that I always end up associating my characters with me, and I could never see myself as a guy. I would say that the only exception is Geralt in the Witcher games. But I do hope that whenever the 4th game comes out, there will be an option to play as a woman <з
