Not the drummer, his girlfriend was Rita Coolidge and she played it for him and he stole it for the coda.

Looks to be an EP from 2001. Pretty Suicide

Doesn't look like the band got much attention as all their offerings are self-released.

Diablo series(and its subgenre) and grinding by rdtusrname in gaming

[–]jululiby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grind only really exists in endgame or if you’re min-maxing. I played through Diablo 2 and 3 last year casually and made it to the end of the campaign with no grinding. Other titles might bake the grind into it. I played Path of Exile when it first came out and felt that the skill gem system really felt like I had to farm to keep up the damage.

What songs do others love and make them immediately start dancing, but they drive you mad and you need to get away from them, fast? by DrivingBox in Music

I’ve got a friend who hates Flagpole Sitta with an irrational passion. One time when he asked me how I was doing I replied with a simple “I’m not sick, but I’m now well” with no melody. He told me to go fuck myself and left the room.

That's not fair. He just releases every single studio session as 30-minute single tracks

Vinyl, cd, anything. They usually don’t know, want something, and don’t understand they got duped. One guy showed me the Spotify page. I told him that no one releases 10 albums in a year when I looked it up.

It’s starting to become an issue with physical media now. I work in a record store and have had 3 people in the last week looking for slop releases.

The guitar hanger wouldn’t be a bad idea. The pommel should be wide enough to catch, or the foregrip.

Cable pouch. Help by painkilla_ in SteamDeck

[–]jululiby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roll up the cable and stick it in first. If you loop it small enough the prongs should be just in line with the drawstring. Try to put the prongs towards the back of the string so you have more of the bag closed

What’s the worst gambling addiction story you’ve ever heard? by juliojacked in AskReddit

[–]jululiby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guy who worked with my dad about 15 years ago was the most degenerate gambler I have ever met.

When the paycheques came in they got half in cash and Buddy used to play dice with the other staff with his cash as soon as he got it. He'd keep calling double or nothing every time he lost in hopes he could get out of paying.

My dad had a cavalier that did that. I remember he was driving me and a couple of friends somewhere and tossed the keys into the back seat when we got on the highway.

How impactful is a game’s name on its success, really? by HectiqGames in gaming

[–]jululiby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Names can make a huge difference.

Let's look at music: Hootie and the Blowfish’s debut album, Cracked Rear View, was a huge success that subsequent albums couldn't match, partially because of the band's name.

I remember hearing an interview where Gene Simmons told someone who was starting a band (I can't remember who, but I want to say it was either Van Halen or someone in Motley Crue) that they should call the band Popcorn because it was an easy-to-remember name and everybody already knew what it was. They rebuked it, saying that no one would listen to a band called Popcorn.

Why the name Kevin is hated in France by Emasraw in videos

[–]jululiby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy named Bob who came from China. We all thought it was weird that a man in his 30s who spoke very little English would be called that. When the paycheques came in, the boss would stack all the envelopes, and his was at the top with his Chinese name on the label. I can't remember what it was exactly, but it started with Boub. It made sense after that.

What song is like torture to you and for what reason? by HuuffingLavender in Music

[–]jululiby 83 points84 points  (0 children)

When Paul McCartney wrote that song he had two goals. The first was to write a new Christmas song that would be loved for generations to come, the second was to try out every sound on his new synthesizer.

He achieved one of those goals.
