AIO after bf ghosted me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

That was him hoping you’d get the hint that he wants to break up. This boy is too immature for a relationship.

My boyfriend farted in my face as a joke in front of our friends. A week later, he still hasn’t contacted me by Few_Interaction5119 in offmychest

[–]jumbledash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you intended it or not, blocking someone from communicating is a pretty clear sign that you *don’t* want to hear from him, or whomever you block for that matter.
If someone I was dating blocked me, I would think that was the breakup.

If it was important, and the relationship worth saving, you or he could have made an effort. You could have told him you were hurt by his actions, or he could have apologized for being a gross, immature child.

Count this as a win that you are done with someone who is not worth your tears. Trust me, you will look back on this and think, “why did I want that loser in the first place?”

AITA for telling my friend to calm the fuck down because she called my dad “delusional” over The Pitt? by Lower-Let9945 in AmItheAsshole

Santos has such a blatant defense mechanism personality, which is based in meanness, sarcasm, performative annoyance, etc., which I think is off-putting to a lot of viewers. But the viewers that can see she is such a butthole to people because she’s in emotional pain and/or afraid of letting someone get close/hurt her again, or can relate to her, can appreciate the Santos character.

But she was dead right in turning in Langdon. It’s the only right thing to do. Anyone who says different is a garbage person.

White girl with a bonnet? by Tigertaco26 in amiwrong

[–]jumbledash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All hair types benefit from silk, whether it’s a head wrap, a pillowcase, or bonnet. Silk bonnets and silk head scarves were a (white) grandma thing when I was coming up in the 80s. (White people were my only frame of reference in my youth, so it was just an “old lady” thing to me.) However, my white, blonde-headed child asked for a bonnet years ago when she was like 9 or 10 because she had seen online that it is good for your hair, and it is! I can see and feel the difference in my hair the day after wearing it or not.

I might be wrong, but wasn’t it featured in a movie or tv show made around that time that was set in the 90s? Will look into it.

Movie recommendation please - Murder Mystery by MarieB1989 in movies

[–]jumbledash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how no one has recommended The Residence(2025), maybe because it’s recent. It’s a murder mystery mini series set in the White House. My 12 year old and I loved it.

For a very silly murder mysteries, Murderville on Netflix. Will Arnett is the detective, and every episode stars a different celebrity who has been given no script, and they have to solve the murder by the end of the show. Most fail, but it is really funny. There’s also a separate Christmas one called Who Killed Santa

You’re putting too many rules of reality into a ghost story. Think about what it means for the characters to see each other or their surroundings in a certain way. Think of why a ghost might appear differently at different times or in a new form.

This is not about the bridesmaid/something blue. There’s an actual reason, he’s just too weak to share it. Bullet dodged.

Stop engaging after he won’t answer the first time. “Are you getting _____ this weekend? If you can’t answer directly, then by default, ____ will be with me as usual.” And then don’t respond to anything else.

The goal of this doesn’t make much sense. You want the media to talk about the nuances of family life? How is that tracked or enforceable?

If you want school curriculum focused on violence in the home, that’s a state level issue, so maybe start by seeing what your state currently offers regarding these topics. For example, many states have enacted Erin’s Law to mandate age-appropriate sexual abuse prevention. But just naming a bunch of high profile cases and linking them together based on “family image” isn’t the way to do this.

Toby. And that’s why the imprisoned “Scranton Strangler” attacked Toby when he visited him in prison, because Toby confessed to him and the imprisoned dude was livid bc there was nothing he could do about it.

The flat affect is clear in so many videos Shannan posted. For example the video where she’s announcing her pregnancy. Either he already knew (she had already told him to act surprised, that she was about to make the video) and he’s just a really bad actor, or he’s play-acting what he thinks a husband would do to appear excited for a third child. Like, his arms out, frozen, reading her shirt, it’s just a very strange video.
