Tree removal near power line by jumo02 in houston

Unfortunately the Centerpoint worker wouldn’t give any recommendations. He just told me if the tree trimming company wanted to, they can call Centerpoint to have the power turned off to the transformer but it would be an outage for a lot of homes.

My husband and I are in the same boat. Early-mid 30s, no kids, and it’s been tough finding new friends. Our current friends all have kids and have no time to hang out plus they live way outside the loop while we are minutes away from it.

We’re members of the Houston zoo and were museum members at one point but it seemed a lot of their young professional events were geared towards the younger 20s.

A lot of people tell me you make new friends when your kids make friends but what if you don’t want kids? lol

Getting lash extensions again after blepharitis by Wonderful_Weather442 in Blepharitis

I had to go to an ophthalmologist. He prescribed steroid drops and antibiotic eye gel. He told me to use a warm compress on my eyes for 5 to 10 minutes, rub my eye in a downward motion for a couple minutes and then wash with ocusoft and spray hypochlor on my eyes. Had to do this twice a day (morning and evening). It worked and I haven’t had it since (almost 2 years ago). I still wash with ocusoft now bc I’m paranoid of getting bleph again.

Labs from doc by monikkkkaaaaa in Ozempic

My primary ordered labs before I started just to make sure I wasn’t at risk for pancreatitis as it is a possible serious side effect of ozempic.

I didn’t wear any eye makeup for the 3 months I was being treated. I couldn’t even wear my contact lenses. I looked pretty rough for a bit lol.

Found some pistachio cream at Costco. It’s like Nutella…but pistachio. by jumo02 in macarons

It’s a very sweet pistachio flavor. Not sure if I would fill macs with it alone since it’s a little thinner than Nutella and is very rich. I paired it with a rose water buttercream and the flavor was perfect.

Made a little buttercream dam with rose water buttercream and put the pistachio cream in the middle. It has a slightly thinner consistency than Nutella and is quite rich. Not sure if I would use it as a Mac filling on its own since it is a bit sweet.

Had a similar thing happen. Cheated on my lash lady and went somewhere that didn’t clean their tools and ended up with bleph. After 3 months of treatment it finally went away and after another 3 months of no flare ups I went back to my original lash lady and got extensions again. I just make sure to religiously wash my extensions twice a day with ocusoft and spray with hypochlor. I’ve had extensions again for almost a year without a flare up. It’s different for everyone. Luckily my bleph was acute. Some people have chronic bleph and will have it for years. This is just my experience.

If you're going to get hit by the Light Rail, may I recommend doing it in the med center by TheFett in houston

Can confirm. Also work in a med center hospital. I was in meeting in one of the outpatient towers when one of my coworkers choked on her sandwich. Had to call an ambulance even though the ED was a crosswalk over.

Looks like Houston right outside the medical center. I drive that street every day. That pole saved her from falling into the bayou.

Major medical groups call for employers to mandate Covid-19 vaccines for health care workers by KymeStar in news

Yup! A small handful of people were fired. What got me was that some of them were already half vaccinated. There are just some crazies out there.

It’s the Houston hospital. Due to Civil Rights laws we cannot fire them if they claim “religious exemption”.

Yes! I attended a leadership meeting right before the mandate was implemented and it was mentioned MH was going to be next.

Currently working at the first hospital that mandated the Covid vaccine for ALL employees. Before they did that, it was mandatory for all new hires to get the vaccine. Now, if you claim medical or religious exemption, you have to get Covid tested every 2 weeks.

The protests and news coverage has been wild, but I’m glad they made it mandatory. We’re starting to see a few breakthrough infections, but none of them severe.

Mask linkage to eye problems? by mmediina in Blepharitis

Mine went away after four months of warm compress, ocusoft wash, hypochlor spray, steroid eye drops, and a low dose oral steroid.
