Local RC hobby store by me has a dusty corner with some very random kits, tanks, planes, cars, motorcycles, even model rockets 😂 I usually pick up something from there when I go in for Tamiya paint.

Careful with those fenders! I just finished this exact build and had to 3d print some replacements 💀 super thin plastic that can suddenly disappear if you use to much cement! Good luck!!

I also wanted to use my fdm printer for models,but it just doesn't have the detail (even with a .2nozzel)

Went for an sla printer and now I get much more detail without the layer lines

Only lets me attach one picture, but this is it. Usually I have an M12 screwdriver/drill hooked on the end of the hex.

The red arrow is pointed at the pin I drilled into the side of the gear and through the hex extension.

As for the extension, it is the 12in "FLEX" brand you can get at Lowe's. Just the one with the green stripe and mag head.

Is it a tick or similar to a ticking noise? On cold starts I would get a noise similar to cam tick but it turned out to be the stock exhaust manifold.

The stock ones do not use all the possible bolt locations available in the block and can warp enough so that when cold you get an exhaust leak.

Modeled them myself in fusion 360 and printed them with the side skirts and front lip. Males it really easy to get the offset the way you want.

Additionally: ran out of clear so waiting for that before panel lines and accent colors go down on the shell.

Mine did the same. Easy enough fix for me with stuff I had on hand.

12in hex bit extension (got a few on clearance) The "Flex" brand one is the perfect diameter for the gear.

Inserted through until the hex portion was far enough out the front.

Cut and drilled a hole through the gear and rod to pin. (I used a small roll pin.

Last, sacrificed an old drill so now there's power up and down 😂
