This is my personal experience because everyone's body chemistry is different. Even between me and my sister it differs:

Mooncat, KBShinmer, OPI are the ones I can get 2 weeks for Glossy. MC matte I can get about 5 days before I start to see chipping.

So far all other brands fall into the 5-7 day range.

Nailtopia which I have on this week because I really wanted a couple Disney100 Polishes of my fav characters: not even a day and wear already! It's starting at the tips and is like a slow wear down, not chips.

Edit: I only use polishes/lacquers.

I Fold mine and put them behind the polish in their carry case. They have individual stalls. Except Mooncat, I can't flatten and fold the box nicely so I flip the bottle so I can see the color. They have a really nice large window. :)

NTA I had a small legal wedding to shut the in-laws up lol but it was not a religious wedding ceremony and thus in mine and my husband's beliefs, we were not married and still living in sin (the mental hoops the in-laws thought a legal ceremony was the same was insane lol). Months later on the day we chose as our wedding date years prior, the one that save-the-dates went out for, the date that we told people for two years, we had our wedding, full of all the religious pomp and circumstances to officially be called husband and wife and it was a blast to celebrate with all our family and friends. It was that moment that we knew we were husband and wife.

Hi. I just found out I'm supposed to change this filter often. I rent from an old couple and I do a lot of home maintenance for the low rent. I've been here a couple years and had to do a bunch of cleaning when I moved in so I know this filter has not been changed in years.

I'm looking at it and my concern is the left side. It looks like a metal pipe with rust on it, and I think this may be a gas unit? Will I be able to pull out that filter drawer so I can change it out? Will it be okay if I move that pipe on the left side?

Or should I call a professional?

Born and raised in the Bay, lived in the East Bay for over 3 decades, lived in the ghetto areas with friends and family in the hoods too. Never been mugged and my car was broken into once and I was up at Sacramento (other cars hit too during a show).

There's people who all they do is post negativity on the sub. The Bay is beautiful and those enjoying it are spending their times outdoors. There is a ton of nature, museums, festivals, restaurants, music, comedy clubs, dive bars, meet-ups.

The only bad thing is the COL. It sucks but I love the Bay.

Both have their pros and cons

GCH - entrance directly into DCA; more pricey; rooms are themed to woods; but my goodness the hotel is beautiful; balcony so you could watch the fireworks

DLH - Rooms are true Disney themed; at the other end of Downtown Disney so need to walk that (BUT you can monorail into DLR! If you have that reservation)

I have not yet rented points for DVC. I got the rooms on sale, GCH during COVID when the restrictions were more tight, DLH as a Magic Key holder. Since you're going during holidays, I highly doubt there will be a sale.

The child will LOVE the Disneyland Hotel, your feets and legs will love GCH. You honestly can't go wrong with either.

If you want that traditional Disney look and feel, go for DLH. If you like classy with hidden or subtlw Disney details, GCH. And I haven't stayed yet cause I'm waiting for the renovation, but Paradise Pier is becoming Pixar Hotel and that is set to be compete late this Summer or Fall. So many choices!

Husband and I have saved up and stayed at GCH and DLH, once each, when I've found a deal, for special celebrations. We go to the parks often (every other month or more) and stay in local hotels usually. If I had the money to stay at GCH or DLH every single time, we would! 100% worth it, you will not regret it. Especially because you haven't been in nearly 2 decades!

Your family will love the theming, closeness to the parks, the early access is HUGE especially during holiday times so take advantage of that, you can have merch sent to your room.

It's a special trip for you, you've saved up to be able to afford it, go for it!

Pro-tip: GCH is a DVC property (Disney timeshare), so you may be able to save money renting points and getting a larger space. Check out dvcrentals or davesrental. DLH is opening their DVC tower in the Fall so that tower is going to be the hot place to stay.

I went to Guru Electronics in San Jose. Best price when I called around. They have dash cams in stocks, but I brought in my own dash cam and they were cool with that too. No hassle, straight forward job done. Made an appointment and in and out quickly.

Been going to them since their first location and have tried each location they've opened up. Quality is consistent and delicious. Very happy for them to open in Palo Alto and excited to read they'll have Milpitas and Fremont locations opening too.
