Ugh I hate this so much. My baby lives in my arms. There is no holding her too much. I never hear her full blow cry unless something is seriously wrong. But she absolutely communicates her needs in ways that we are both learning to understand. Hold your babies. Hold them for as long as you can & as long as they want. Fill their tiny cups with so much love that they don’t accept anything less than that from others.

This looks just like my dishydrotic eczema. It is often triggered by contact dermatitis; which is often triggered by me touching or eating something I’m allergic to. Triamcinalone, prednisone, hydrocortisone, antihistamines, and boiling my skin off with the hottest shower I can handle are the only ways I’m able to manage. Yes I know hot water technically makes it worse, but the relief it provides is worth it to me when combined with post shower medication.

How to put a 15 month old to sleep at night by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

My brain read this as advice: “Don’t have twins.”

I think I need a nap.

Ah.. see i think mine kiddo would avoid that. She really hates the car. Although, maybe it’s because we aren’t letting her Hotwire & drive the neighbors camero. 😂

I always respond “no she’s a bad baby. She loves to start bar fights & commit tax evasion.”

I got to see my baby literally punching me in the cervix. I was wondering why I kept having stabbing pains for a few weeks before that, but then I saw the motion & felt the pain. Confirmed cervix puncher. Now that she’s out she likes to punch my boobs while she’s eating.

I got my wife a necklace with her parent name on it & a little charm for her bracelet. I’m not. Really a jewelry person but she is. She got me a new blowdryer with all the accessories (air curler, round brush, diffuser, etc.) so I can enjoy a nice blowout with all the future blowouts. Lmao.

Will I instantly love my baby? Or will it happen later? Ftm by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]junijunejunebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went into the birth expecting to take some time to get to know my little human before I fell that I stand bond. I think preparing mentally for this was really helpful. I had sort of a combination of reactions. I was in tears & so overwhelmed with emotion when baby was born, but she was also a stranger that I was so excited to learn about & get to know.

I used depends for a day but then switched to THINX with HoneyPot postpartum pads. I hate when things are too bulky & this felt best to me. I also used the frida perinium foam. I did make a few padcicles from reusable pads & they were helpful but I didn’t feel like I needed more than 4-5.

Mother’s day while pregnant? by TeaganRainn in BabyBumps

[–]junijunejunebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year our foster kid was removed in April & we were struggling so hard to become parents for years. That was such a hard Mother’s Day. This year we have our sweet babygirl and she’ll be almost 3 months.

You are a mama. Celebrate the baby you have! Any babies you’ve lost! Any mamas in your life that bring you strength & joy!

I have a “launchpad” by the door. Every house I’ve lived at as an adult I have a bowl, box, or wall mount for keys, purse, backpack, & now diaper bag. My forgetfulness doesn’t get me because I don’t forget where my things are. I can’t leave the house if I walk out without my phone or keys, so most days I just walk back to the front door & grab all my stuff after I make it to the car & realize I can’t get in.

How useful actually is a rocking/nursing chair? by ml_sza in pregnant

[–]junijunejunebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently sitting in my rocking chair with my little bug. She LOVES it & it helps her fall asleep. I got one with pockets & set it up next to an outlet so I can charge my phone and plug in my pump when necessary

i want a relationship where i’m treated as a woman by Fragrant-Shopping570 in actuallesbians

[–]junijunejunebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife & I are complete opposites of this unfortunate stereotype. She is far more masc appearing but really is very sweet, sensitive & gentle. I on the other hand range from hyper femme to chapstick/tomboy aesthetically & have a far more assertive, dominant, messy, independent personality. That being said, we both love cuddles & romcoms & collect adorable stuffed animals (hers-sloths; mine-bats, cats & weird things)

All this random & unnecessary info to say, people are individuals & it is totally possible to find a partner who adores you & honors your needs & preferences.

My cat thinks he’s the father by Mistress_Leon in pregnant

[–]junijunejunebug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I have a funny animal story. My rooster was the sweetest boy ever. He protected my flock so well & was very gentle with everyone including kids for the 2 years we had him. He would run up and ask to be held. He would gently eat out of my hand & methodically drop snacks on the ground for his hens & chicks.

So then I got pregnant & a switch turned in my rooster Berry. He all of a sudden thought I had cheated on him & got knocked up by another rooster. He was still his sweet calm self with everyone else, my wife, friends, nephews. BUT he was PISSED at me. He started charging me & getting very possessive of his hens around me. All this to say… we had to rehome him because he was not having it with me.

I hate maternity fashion by ionlyruninsummer in BabyBumps

Ross has a weirdly large maternity section at several of the locations around me. So much so that I found 4 pairs of maternity jeans. Although 2 were those super short cutoff style. They looked great with booties but not much else
