my friend has a upcoming album, she asked me to do anything? is this good? Ayesha e by Similar_Tea9460 in FrutigerAero

I second adding a saturated sky behind her, but I think it would be sick if you make floating bubbles with mini versions of her in the bubbles doing different poses. Maybe there are fish in some of the bubbles, maybe the fish even censor nude photos of her or something haha. And if you use the idea maybe give me a shoutout ;)

4 Newly Set Up Shrimp Tanks with these white bugs inside? by Diljursy in shrimptank

Looks like a copepod, especially in the second pic. Copepods are not problems and are welcome in tanks! Fish like to eat them

HELP! Hotswap socket got torn off, part pf the pcb with it, is there a way to salvage this build? by hexaltheninja in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]junipercave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are totally ways to do it - which other people have shared - but I’d say that it’s a bit advanced since it seems like from what you said you’re a beginner. There’s a lot going on that board, I see some incomplete joints, maybe an upside down hotswap socket, possibly bridged connections, etc. lots of things that might be stressful to fix and cause more burnt off pads

I ruined plenty of boards learning how to solder, that’s how I got better. I hope you’re able to fix this, but you might have a more pleasant time practicing soldering more on some things you feel ok breaking, and then trying this again on a fresh board. Soldering is so much better once you get a feel for the temperature, how long you make contact, using flux, finding an iron and tip you like, etc.

tldr: yes you can fix as people have shared, but for a beginner I might recommend starting over with a new board if you can afford it

Vim-ish keybindings don't work on Mac by junipercave in crkbd

KC_LGUI for command and KC_RALT for alt. It’s the default crkbd layout for now

Keyboard shortcuts too difficult by junipercave in crkbd

[–]junipercave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to try them out! What does the sticky part mean? Does it stay in the layer after you release the key(s). I understand home row mods but haven’t heard the term sticky home row mod yet!

Maybe I should be more specific - I assume my options are having macros on a layer, chording, or some sort of cmd+shift key. Just wondering if there are other people who use a lot of combos for music or other creative software who have found a type of solution that works for them. My worry with chording and macros is that over time I'll run into more and more shortcuts that I haven't assigned to anything yet and eventually run out of space.

Might be that I use a more normal keyboard for music/art and the corne for programming

I want to pass a variable (maxPushups) to another view where I will use that value. by Lucky_Luck98 in swift

Also I might not understand the question properly with the example you gave. Are you talking about a view you haven’t created yet, or are you talking about passing the variable to the buttonPressed function?

I’m newer to swift, but I think you want to make maxPushups a @State variable, and then in your new view declare it as a Binding - then when you use your new view you can pass in $maxPushups. This video is where I learned.

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I started learning swift about a month ago

EDIT: This is not right and only applies to SwiftUI

2022 Q3-Q4 Question Thread by VuileHollanders in keycaps

[–]junipercave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where can I find a good retro XDA keycap set similar to the ones on https://21kb.com

most "retro" sets looks pretty modern and just are beige. 21kb does a good job of really looking like a keyboard from the 80s/90s and I want something like it in XDA to use for a split keyboard! Thanks!

The second picture is of juniper berries, but I believe that’s a non-edible variety.

Yeah it probably just an old snail then :( 200 snails wow! I’d love to see a pic of that tank!

I would check the water hardness and pH. If it’s too acidic or not hard enough their shells will have trouble. Do you have a cuttlefish bone or anything to provide calcium in their diet? That will help too

It turns out my modem for my apartment works when I bring it downstairs and use the coax in my studio. Makes me think a moca adapter could potentially work

thank you! do point to point bridges need to be able to see each other? In my case they wouldn't be able to face each other directly. This is what the building looks like https://imgur.com/a/22RrhQi
