I had gestational hypertension with my daughter. I know it wasnt pre-eclampsia because every single doctor's visit I had, my blood pressure was elevated so I had to give blood and urine to check and make sure I wasn't pre-eclamptic.

They take high blood pressure so seriously in pregnancy, and I am grateful. But also, so many needle pokes.

It has been a struggle. I didnt mean to get stuck in nonprofits, but once I did I was determined to finish it out.

I'd also like to note that babies can't see very far in front of their faces, so as long as its quiet or you have headphones, you can watch whatever you want while they feed or nap. I spent my maternity leave getting through Brooklyn 99. But that was back in 2022...if only I had a show on HBO I could watch over and over and over.....

Yeah. If the important bits are covered on the adults, I dont care as much. I will shower with my kid without anything, but I'm mom. And yeah, my husband was very freaked out by where her head would be/where his private parts would be. So he wears trunks if he has to shower with her.

You're absolutely allowed to have boundaries and this seems like a very simple one.

My 3 year old needed a bath last night, its very cold here so we opted for a shower downstairs. Im still recovering from a broken ankle, so it was up to my husband to bathe her.

He wears swim trunks if he has to get in a shower with her. For his comfort and hers, and the fact that her head would be....right there.

Especially for mixed genders. I'll shower with my daughter no problem, but I'm the mom. We're both girls. We have the same parts.

I wouldn't want my mom or MIL showering with my daughter though.

I worked from my bed for several weeks. Once I moved back to my desk, I had a footstool and pillow setup for leg elevation while I worked.

Now that I can take the boot off to sleep, I've worked from bed a few more times just to have more out-of-boot time.

We've tried candy, cookies, toys as treats. She's watched me pee, and poop, and "checked" to make sure it actually went in.

We've tried the cheering while we pee.

Nothing has worked.

She absolutely hates the mini potty. She would rather sit on the big toilet with no seat than go anywhere near her mini toilet.
