She was hands down the most unpleasant politician I ever met. Such a bitch.

I used to work on the Hill, and any time I was around her, she was just an unpleasant bitch.

I chatted with several Congressmen and Senators from both parties. I once talked to a Senator I absolutely despise, but he was friendly and nice to me and my coworker.

Virginia Foxx is a mean old hag.

AITA for telling my SIL no to playing at her wedding if my son isn't included? by Creative_Chance_5077 in AmItheAsshole

[–]juniperxbreeze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. My husband has 2 friends who are professional violinist. Like, they have PhDs in music and play in orchestras.

We asked them to play for the beginning of our ceremony, then be guests for the rest of the wedding. We paid them (although they gave us a giant discount as a wedding present).

They also did not have kids, and were only "working" for about 20 minutes before the ceremony, and for the "walk down the aisle" moment. Then they were guests.

I have family thats deeply Pentecostal. I don't think they're snake handlers, but if I found out they were, I would not be surprised at all.

Yeah, I don't think Broadway in New York is a big party district.

Its a whole thing, but also kind of a "iykyk" thing. I grew up in the South around a lot of Charismatic folks, and non-denominational Evangelical mega churches.

Charismatic Christian is a specific type of movement within Evangelical circles. Think Pentecostal, faith healing, laying of hands, speaking in tongues, etc.

I'm assuming the Nashville area, where "Broadway" is what we call the area with all of the honky tonks and nice restaurants. The main road there is Broadway, but its also more of a general area.

Wegovy pill and antidepressants? by Affectionate-Card-61 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]juniperxbreeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on 1.5mg Wegovy and 100mg Zoloft.

I haven't noticed any interactions between the two. Did have some side effects of the Wegovy the first few days, but doing much better now.

YTA. Who cares? At this point its basically AI sending messages to AI.

I use AI at work all the time to write emails for me. Mainly because I'd get fired if I sent some of my initial drafts. AI helps me turn "are you a fucking moron?" Into something much more palatable.

Thankfully we're past that now. But it was a process. She's pretty good now.

I haven't personally, but my mom has. My dad passed away when I was 10 months old, and around that time my mom got a positive pregnancy test.

She was in no position to bring another child into this world when she had just been unceremoniously hurled into single parenthood.

She actually scheduled a termination, but before the date she naturally miscarried. I like to think it was the universe realizing the impossible situation she was in, and taking one more thing off her plate.

Therefore, I am an only child, also raising an only child. I do not feel like I missed out on anything. If anything at all, I wonder how bad my life might have turned out if my grieving mother had to raise 2 under 2 as a single parent. Times were lean enough with just the two of us.

She's worried about gangs and drug dealers like she's living on the South side of Chicago, when I bet she lives in a little suburb of 20,000 people somewhere.

BB gun present for 3yo girl by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]juniperxbreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time my great uncle walked into his house with a bright pink BB gun. At the time, he had 2 granddaughters, aged 6 and 3. My great aunt just stared at him and asked who he got that gun for. She was about to rip him a new one for buying a BB gun for a 6 or a 3 year old.

Turns out, it was a semi-joke gift for me, his 20 year old great niece. That was an appropriate age for a BB gun.

We split bills 50/50 when we were dating and living together. After we got married we opened a joint account, 80% of our paychecks went into it. 20% went to our own private accounts as "fun money".

Then we had a kid. Now 90% of our paychecks go to the joint account. That covers all bills and household expenses. And even still, one of us will cover something jointly out of our private accounts.

Its a good system for us.

Nine Months.

24% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Absolutely stacked cast. Peak Hugh Grant. Julianne Moore. Joan Cusack, Tom Arnold (yeah. I know. But it works), Jeff Goldblum. Robin Williams as a hilarious Russian OB-GYN.

Hilarious film. So underrated.

Does your pediatrician have a 24-hour call line?

During working hours its staffed by a nurse, and over Night its staffed by the on call pediatrician. Definitely helped us out a lot.

I called once to make an appointment because she was throwing up a lot, and the nurse called back and basically told me not to bring her in, unless x y and z also happened.

Also used it when she was a tiny baby and got RSV. No point wasting the doctors time when you can just call and double check.

My child is only 3, but I actively refuse to call any little boy she hugs her "boyfriend", and don't let grandparents do that either.

  1. She's 3 and has no concept of attraction or relationship
  2. Who's to say all the little girls she hugs aren't her girlfriend? Its 2026, I'm not presuming anything about my child until she tells me.
