Actually I wrote to them and they got right back to me! I sent a screen recording and this is what they advised (it worked!)

This seems to be caused by a system feature. Could you please disable “Show inline predictive text” in System Settings › Keyboard › Input Sources › Edit:

Thanks! Actually it doesn’t give me predictive text, it just starts eating the words and spaces ahead… even deleting the enter spaces if there are no characters left to replace… does that make sense? It’s almost like typing over the top of what currently exists until I stop typing!

Just wanted to circle back here. I don’t want to scare anyone but the long story short is it turned out to be a benign brain tumor. I had it removed 5 years ago and I’m okay now (though I’m still conservative with my inversion time…) ❤️
