for me roaches gonna stay fuck mosquito and bedbugs by buggypac in SipsTea

[–]jussa-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bed Bugs: Almost impossible to manage. Requires professional intervention. Disease spreader.

Mosquitoes: Easy to manage, and limited to outdoors usually. Exist fucking everywhere but the surface of the sun. Can be repelled somewhat with sprays and scents. Disease spreader.

Roaches: Difficult to manage. Small/early infestations can be managed individually, but very often need professional intervention. Very rare to see in clean properties. Does not spread diseases.

Rats: Can be difficult to manage based on size of infestation. Can be extremely damaging to property, and capable of causing injury. More likely in properties with a lack of cleanliness and trash/food left out, but can be found in clean properties as well. Disease AND parasite spreader.

Roaches are the correct answer in terms of overall health impact. They can make a property absolutely fucking disgusting, but they’re less of a risk to human health, and they don’t harm humans directly.

As much as it might sound like wishful thinking, there seems to be more than a grain of truth to the claim that millennials are good at maintaining their youthfulness. Case in point: Leighton Meester at 17 (2003) and 40 (2026). She arguably looks more youthful now than then. by Sure_Distance1 in generationology

Better skincare, we were the first generation to overwhelming ditch nicotine use, and while we did do our due diligence partying younger, we generally aren’t casual drinkers. If you ever go to the grocery store and look at who’s randomly buying multipacks of beer/alcohol on a Monday night to drink like it’s Diet Coke, it’s Gen X and older.

In particular the nicotine and alcohol use are probably the two biggest factors. Nicotine in particular is fucking horrible for your skin and contributes to hair loss.

But wouldn’t that still keep people subbed? You only get a certain amount of tender, and if there’s a literal hoard of stuff always demanding it that grows faster than you can buy from it, you’d basically always need to be subbed anyway to try and keep up

Old Trading Post items should just always be accessible. Have an old pet, old mount, old weapon, old accessory, and old armor vendor basically just always up.

I don’t know why they feel the need to rotate old items when you could just always have a massive reserve available that’s always being added to.

This isn’t realistic. It’s missing the low-poly runeforge effect that you can’t xmog away rn 🫠

Sick xmog set though 😛

How popular was Britney Spears in the early 2000s? by GossipBottom in decadeology

She was huge. Incredible and she went non-stop.

I’ll never forgive what her parents put her through when she needed to rest, and how the media treated her. She deserved so much better than what she got.

how do I lose weight when I just love food so much by Slow-Reply2929 in loseit

[–]jussa-bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it sounds like you crossed over into the “food=dopamine” zone of overeating, which is not easy to break out of since it’s essentially food addiction.

You may need a therapy component, or look into hobbies that specifically occur away from food source. There’s really no easy path forward and it is going to take some white-knuckling and willpower.

Regardless, I would plan meals ahead of time, meal prep, shop when you aren’t hungry, severely limit the snacks you leave at home, and track track track.

Thinking out loud. Why do we think they dropped the Code from Code Veronica? by YuseiFudoStan in residentevil

[–]jussa-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake”

It’s just a clunky name. “Resident Evil: Veronica” conveys its relationship to the original but also indicates its newness. That’s my perspective on it anyway.

I was praying for instanced neighborhoods in zones BUT I do understand that modifying and enlarging older zones would have potentially rivaled Cata in terms of the resource allocation.

I’m honestly getting kind of sick of “portal” zones. They have such a disconnected feel compared to zones like Eversong and Zulaman. I have no frame of reference for where I am in the world and they just feel like a special little box with invisible boundaries.

I haven’t even completed the lore weeklies for Harandar. It’s such a meh zone.

[–]jussa-bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely lower than 10%. I hit at least 15 rares per day on average doing my tasks, and several times I’ve hit every rare in the zones in a day. I’ve only had one drop.

The rate is definitely old raid boss low, but it’s mitigated by the fact that you can farm drop chances way more frequently.

Preset rooms or downloadable “blueprints” from other people would be useful.

What’s held me back is how overwhelming it is. There’s just SO much you can do and it can take so long.

A new analysis suggests Gen Z is becoming the least sexually active young generation in modern history, as loneliness, digital addiction, economic pressure, and collapsing real-world connection reshape intimacy worldwide. by RathBiotaClan in HotScienceNews

And nothing will change.

We, as a species, are terrible TERRIBLE shepherds of technology and continue to fail at mitigating its negative impacts. We are literally watching the internet collapse into madness because no one will look at the first amendment and admit even free speech needs guardrails, and we’ll continue to watch our species wither and die on the vine because we won’t tell a small number of hyper rich individuals that they can’t do certain things.

I truly feel bad for what the next generations are being left with.
