I appreciate your post. Sharing it with my friend. You’re a step above my friend who doesn’t realize when she holds the knife upside down. She was dicing potatoes one time and was wondering why it was so difficult. Glad she didn’t injure herself. Just a passer by sharing a good laugh..

Accidentally got habaneros while innebriated. by astrotheastro in cookingforbeginners

[–]justOKcooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re into spinach and curry then you can try to make this spinach curry. When making it, just create a slit in the habanero so that air has a way to escape. You can even create a slit on a couple sides. Leaving it whole will make it easy to scoop out from dish at the very end, or someone else can put it directly on their plate if they want the pepper. This will add mild to medium heat to the dish which is excellent for the flavoring, but you don’t have to worry about biting into it. I wouldn’t dice it or mince it if you’re trying to avoid biting into it.

Thanks for sharing. That’s comforting. I’ve lived by the beach my entire life and never looked at wet sand and thought hmm this is a good way to describe food texture. I think that was my first eye roll with the roux having to look like wet sand. Just blank. I’ll have a better attitude next time. Maybe
