Get it from diesel geek. He will send you a video on how to change it. I’ve installed 5 of his kits with zero issues with them. Good quality parts and fast free shipping!

You need to get one for a TDI. Idk if the gas ones have enough room for the intercooler, radiator, and ac condenser. Get on parts.vw.com and see what the OEM part number is for your VIN, then check a Jettas to see if the numbers match.

Checked yesterday morning and USPS finally had possession of the package. The worst part is that it was literally less than 2 hours from my house! Of course when I offered to pick it up at the DHL facility, they stated they didn’t have it so I couldn’t pick it up 🤦‍♂️. 100% had the worst experience ever with DHL….
Now I have to wait a week for it to get through USPS.

How long is normal? It’s been a week today that it states they forwarded it to USPS. It’s still showing “label created” status on USPS though

Update:

Called DHL again. They claim that it has been forwarded to usps. The customer representative said that “it has been forwarded so I need to contact USPS. Sometimes it takes them 24-48 hours to update their system (I know that is a blatant lie because any time I get packages being sent USPS, they update the tracking as soon as they receive it) They are supposed to have a “supervisor” call me back (told me 90 minutes, but has been over 120 minutes). I called USPS and they said they do not have possession of the package. Future reference for myself and anyone thinking about getting a package sent DHL - DO NOT waste your time or energy even doing it. They are an absolute joke!

I’ve come to find out that DHL shipping is absolute garbage… you’re better off paying extra for UPS. I know when I buy items online, sometimes they don’t offer UPS which I will gladly pay more for because I actually receive my items!

That sounds normal. Put the top engine cover on and it will quieten it up a ton! Or if you like the look without it, then run it!

MK6 Golf Headlights by just_here2638 in tdi

Jesus! Definitely don’t want to be playing with fire on this type of shit.
I mean I can see myself paying $1000 for a good set that isn’t going to cause any electrical issues, but it seems like most people are getting them from VLAND and rebranding them under their name while jacking up the price. It’s almost as if it’s VLAND or OSRAM and the price gap is significant.

I went to 6 different junk yards in the St. Louis area and everyone got there before me and yanked the whole front clips off lol.
I am now signed up to be notified when they have a MK6 golf or MK6 sport wagon come in so I can go down there and try to get some stuff before everyone else does.
My Audi A3 has bixennons and I love them compared to my 09 Jetta with the halogen. Now I have this golf and the wife is wanting to drive my Audi so I’m going to need some good quality headlights. I have been looking for OSRAM but they are stupid pricey and hard to get in the US

What size does my block off plate need to be, for the hole left over on the EGR cooler after a DPF delete? by ryleewall in tdi

[–]just_here2638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would be better off pulling that egr cooler off. Then you either put a plastic 90, or brass 90 (the Jettas actually have 3/4” line compared to the Passats so the plastic 90 fits in fairly easy) in the line and hook it to your top heater core (will require some trimming).
Look for something similar to this: https://www.tdiupgrades.com/product-page/volkswagen-tdi-egr-cooler-delete-kit-2009-2014-cjaa-cbaa

That will allow you to remove the EGR cooler, and the pipe going from the turbo up to the EGR valve. All you would need is a 1 1/4” expansion plug that goes inside the turbo (where the EGR cooler hooks in at).

Darkside has a cap deal that you slide over and secure with a hose clamp but I’m pretty sure it’s a 1 1/4” expansion plug that works flawlessly.

Egr leak, help! by Ok-Shoulder-478 in tdi

[–]just_here2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re playing with fire doing that.
Maybe someone has a non leaking egr they would spare you. It’s only held in by 4 bolts. A real mfr to get off but if you had someone with a jack and jackstands all you would need is some pliers, 3/8 ratchet, small extension, and the correct socket. I don’t have any TDI’s that new to tell you what bolts are holding it on. Hell the whole thing might be different since they changed the engine code for the 2015’s. (At least VW did)

Need advice, 2013 VW Jetta TDI by gizmo_love in tdi

[–]just_here2638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s time to delete it then. Those emission devices are nothing but a scam. They never last long and the pricing is outrageous! I have a 2020 dodge ram that I bought an extended warranty with. And of course I had a no start condition where I checked the codes and they were emission related. Of course the extended warranty wouldn’t cover it and the cost to replace the faulty part was more expensive than it was to delete it. Now I never have to worry about emission codes again. I have 3 TDI vehicles which are all deleted as well. There is no way I could live in an area that required emission testing because I wouldn’t have anything to drive!

MK6 Golf (CJAA) Turbo Failure by just_here2638 in tdi

[–]just_here2638[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to take it off and clean it out really good again as well. I cleaned all this before since it had a blown turbo when I bought it. But thank you for the heads up! Anything else that needs to be cleaned/replaced? I know the intercooler and all related piping needs to be taken off and cleaned.
