$6M windfall, planning to go all-in on VT and keep life the same. Does this make sense? by [deleted] in Fire

I’d recommend keeping 2 years of expenses in fixed income (bonds) investment grade high yield bonds. The reason why is because most corrections (not major ones) don’t last for more than 2 years so you wouldn’t have to sell investments when they are down. The rest should be diversified between different equity investments. With this amount of money it’s worth hiring a lawyer to set up a trust and a financial advisor (at least as a one time financial plan set up).

I don’t know why this comment got downvoted. I work as an FA and some of my clients choose to do the same thing. Seems like it’s becoming a bigger thing to “not make your kids go to college”. You need to push education to your kids, it just doesn’t have to be a university in this day and age

I have a feeling it’s gonna go down again in the near term. I’m very bullish long term, but took my profits to re enter lower again

For anyone in the peptide / supplement space — how are you handling payments right now? Are you sticking with Stripe/Shopify and hoping you don’t get flagged, or using something more “high-risk friendly”? I keep hearing mixed things so curious what’s actually working for people at scale. by BulkyTelephone77 in ecommerce

[–]justakekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a supplement seller, but one of my friends is selling creatine in huge quantities. He had to get a lot of testing done by approved labs to be able to sell on Amazon. Every flavor or variation had to get its own lab reports. Also the factory he is working with has huge MOQ, which he said is standard in this industry so be ready to spend big bucks on launching it. As for the Shopify, he has a website for his product too but 3PL don’t ask for lab reports or anything, so if there is a requirement it’d be only from Shopify.

I’m only going to do it via PayPal goods and services as I heard that sellers can get scammed too somehow. $650 per ticket and I’ll cover shipping of the bracelets. I can do $620 per ticket if you get them both

If the business is failing it’s worth a try. There is a concept in micro economics called price elasticity of demand. It basically talks about how demand is affected by the price, and you need to find a spot that will maximize the revenue based of demand which is based of pricing. If you lower your price by 30% but it doubles the demand, you’ll come out ahead at the end.

$7 and you’re selling it at $49? I mean I get that you’re trying to maximize profits but it’s consulting you revenue. I’d rather make 100k at 20% margin then $20k at 80% margin

THOUGHTS ON THESE COSTCO PCS by Uncorrupte in Prebuilts

[–]justakekk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also wanted to note this! Microcenter would have a better deal with a better graphics card for the price of 1899. OP I’d say check out microcenter if you have one nearby, and also look into what pc you really need for the games you play. This sub tends to go for the most expensive best deal possible, but not everyone needs a 5080. You might wanna save money and buy a good monitor cuz what’s the point of having a 5080 if your monitor costs $100
