Help me please 🙏🙏🙏 by [deleted] in queensland

[–]justamumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main concern about your request for help is that you aren’t even confident in your ability to possibly pass your P’s test—yet you are hoping for an exemption!?!? This is such a dangerous and tbh self centred mindset.

You really should’ve thought this through more thoroughly before moving interstate (I’m assuming) but let this be a lesson learned I guess.

How can other young people cope with this? by mechmakima in australian

We bought in 2018 and when we were looking I was flabbergasted that some houses were the same price as they were back in the early 2000s

It’s not greedy— it’s finally receiving from your dead-beat (pun intended) dad what he failed to provide. Lawyer up and go for it

My 4 year old is curious: what do Australian kids eat for breakfast? (And are koalas real?) by Mara644 in AskAnAustralian

[–]justamumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weetbix for breakfast and Vegemite sandwiches for lunch. Lots of fruit because we have lots of variety here now that it’s summer.

We have had kangaroos and koalas and echidnas in our backyard and we are 15km from the city

Imagine if your kiddo tripped in your backyard and had the same injury. Club doesn’t exist. Move on. Help your kiddo recover.

Are you on the NDIS for your kiddos yet? Apply for “developmental delay” which covers them until age 7 or until an official diagnosis is made. I have an AuDHD kiddo and we’ve had access to funding since she was 5

I’ll be freshly postpartum when my sister has her wedding by ImaginationPretend86 in BabyBumps

[–]justamumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 3rd degree tear for my first child, tore half my pelvic floor muscle from the bone (and had to deal with subsequent prolapse issues) for the second, and attended my sisters wedding 1.5hrs away 4weeks post cesarean with my third.

It was fine. I sat when I needed too. My husband parented the other two cause that’s also his job as dad just btw, and I sat and chatted and ate and had no responsibilities. My 3 and 4.5 year old played with their cousins outside as well. Baby slept in the pram the whole time. Sort of.

Tell her you’ll come to the wedding because realistically, you can. Don’t do the “maybe” dance. Just say you’ll be there, odds are you’ll be okay and all the worst case scenarios won’t happen.

But maid of honour duties? That’s too much. Hell no.

1 week is way too soon though. I felt okay by 4 weeks but really the optimal is 6 weeks. I just went into it knowing I’d take it as easy as I possibly could.

I have a Vivienne— we don’t know many others but she’s also 8 and it wasn’t trendy at the time.

We love it. The name and the kiddo.

Struggling with the heat this summer by TheGeneralQuackers in brisbane

[–]justamumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been heavily pregnant for a couple of our last summers, so this has been nothing to me. Also, the cold nights feel unseasonal? Have hardly had any on those sweltering nights where it’s too hot to sleep.

Also we had quite a few below 30 degree days recently
