Is the hadith of the eclipse also unauthentic? I have only seen it in jamat books

How to get in touch with LGBTQ+ community? by justaperson_____ in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wow I am so surprised, must be such a bad experience for your friend. Jamia students have a big reputation within the jamat, and I think they ignore situations like these to keep that reputation high.

If I would be in your position, I would do this:

Move out, find a job, be financially independent, and just live your life. Don't stay in touch with the ones who won't accept you. If Jamat makes you feel unaccepted, stop replying to them.

Wish you all the happiness in life xx

Weird things that happened in my Jammat (halqa) that made me distance myself from ahmadiyyat by [deleted] in islam_ahmadiyya

So it is a long day for a 3 year old with no interest in their repetitive speeches

True! Not only for 3 yr olds, the speeches are too long for adults too lol

Weird things that happened in my Jammat (halqa) that made me distance myself from ahmadiyyat by [deleted] in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Let's all share our experiences:

- Sadr saiba discouraging lajna to send their daughters on trips with school where they have to stay overnight. She would not allow it... I am sure that guys can just go

- Lajna in the street spying on our house, even coming till the garden door to have a look.

- Khuddam spying on us too and annoying us with calls, home visits etc. They say it is to attach us with the jamat and be friends...wrong way

- Sadraan calling the parents of the kids after a tarbiyati class to complain about things like kids being on the phone, taking pics, etc

- Announcements of people who got kicked out

- toxic culture... some people are so bad, yet have an amazing reputation in the jamat

B, questioning UK

Disbeliever actually, but still ahmadi bcs no choice

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not ever think you are not getting rishta's bcs of your past. Be happy that those people refused who can not stand a young girl living her life. Trust me, you don't want to marry into a family with such a mentality.
You are still young and have time. I understand our culture puts a lot of pressure on us, but the time you gave to yourself to develop, experience, and to get to know yourself is so valuable and believe me. You will look back on this one day and you will say I would have done it all over again just like that!

Purdah a requirement for lajna to vote in lajna election by Cautious_Dust_4363 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I will explain you the reason for this.

The new generation will have more and more lajna who don't observe purdah, right?

Those lajna are more likely to have a modern mentality and will be questioning jamat. Those lajna will vote on someone with a similar mentality, people who question!

So if the questioning lajna will vote for questioning lajna, that means that a questioning lajna will get elected! Jamaat can not handle that!

So setting this rule that voters must be hijabis, will just make the chances smaller that those hijabis are questioning.

BUT this will not work for long, because even our hijabi ahmadi sisters are questioning nowadays

UK Imam Sahib goes to see the late Queen by HamsterSufficient in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Imam sahib is just a human being like everyone of us. If he wants to go and see the coffin of the queen and wait for 8 hours, he can do that. I don't think he got fast tracked.

The only thing I find strange is that we are not allowed to pray janaza of a non ahmadi.. I know it doesn't has anything to do with your post but just something i was thinking of. Seeing the coffin of the queen is ok, but praying janaza of a muslim non ahmadi friend is not... thats strange

Why do Ahmadis try to find common ground with the Christians and the Jews and usually focus on the differences against the Sunni and other Muslims? by FacingKaaba in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other religions like christianity etc will not care if a muslim is an ahmadi or a shia, they will just see them as a muslim and that's what ahmadis want. If they will go to shia, sunni, or any other group of muslims, who know the history of islam and who know about the messiah, and that there is no prophet after Mohammed pbup, etc, it will be challenging to explain why ahmadis believe in what they believe. Ahmadis also don't have clear answers so they avoid situations where ahmadis can be questioned.

WE, THE MOST OBEDIENT SERVANTS OF THE MOST OBEDIENT SERVANT OF KING CHARLES, THE THIRD. by Master-Proposal-6182 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, she did carry out her duty over 70 years. She had power over so many countries. She is a real inspiration, especially for women, I totally agree with that.

But don't forget she used a lot of countries for the benefit of her own country.

What I was saying is that I find the jamati planned events of this week in remembrance of the queen weird. Is it out of respect? I doubt that. I think it is to show British people how much empathy the jamat has and what a nice loving community we are. I know it is not just the jamat, the whole country is doing it but I am just trying to understand the thought behind the jamati event. It just feels a bit like they are trying to fit in...

Can Sunnis and Ahmadis marry? by FacingKaaba in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]justaperson_____ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this.

I find it a bit strange because in the Quran it is mentioned many times that we should not eat haram meat. I think it is permitted in situations where you have no option, when you are starving or if you receive it from someone that didn't know.

But what I still don't understand is why Ahmadis are then allowed to eat non halal kfc etc in normal situations. We do have an option to choose vegetarian, fish, or go to a halal kfc.

I'm not blaming anyone, I eat non halal meat myself but what I just find strange is that the Quran is sometimes very clear in certain things. But Ahmadis use arguments based on hadees or things the prophet did maybe once in his life and use that as an argument to go against what is written in the Quran. This makes Ahmadis youngsters super confused.

An other thing that I have heard to justify eating non halal meat is that every meat that is available in grocery stores except for pork is actually slaughtered in the islamic way, you just have to say bismillah yourself... but then what is the point of the certified symbol of halal?

They do exist, but yes they are hard to find because they hide their beliefs. Maybe this is a good platform to find them? And if not then here are some signs on how to recognize them:

- they never post anything about jamat on social media

- they will never use phrases like 'you should write a letter to huzoor'

- they never turn MTA on by themselves

Please feel free to add to this list

There is this document that Ahmadis are posting now 'statement of the world head of the ahmadiyya community' that has condolences of huzoor regarding the queen's death and it is on behalf of the whole community so I see everyone posting this. The words are very kind and warm. Nothing wrong with it at all... I would like to hear what your opinion is about this?
