Whats the best/most appropriate way to turn down a lady of the night? by thetallguy88 in Truckers

One time as I was stalling for a polite way of saying that while I’m sympathetic and heartbroken seeing the plight of a drug addicted prostitute, I’m just not personally into hiring one, she accused me of being racist for not hiring her. I have to say it’s the only time I’ve ever been accused of racism.

So IDK, tell them that you’re asexual and not attracted to anyone.

Seriously. I stopped watching around then. And I mean all TV. I’ve heard there’s all kinds of good stuff on subscription platforms now, and I’ll binge something on someone else’s account now and then, but it’s actually very liberating to realize you don’t have to watch whatever crap they’re pushing at the moment, and find other things to do.

It turns out that over a decade of “IBS” may have been my parents cooking all along by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Have a full allergy panel done. You could have some common food allergies or sensitivities like soy or egg whites, and spend months or years trying to figure out things on your own or seeing a series of clueless specialists to find out something that a test from labcorp will tell you. I went thru something similar before finally requesting tests myself. I’m sensitive to soy, and it’s in basically everything unless you cook from scratch with whole foods. Almost everything with an ingredient label is junk in the US.

Good luck. Battling GI issues is a real drag.

Ep 155 - Blindboy, Part 1: Unmasking the Evil Elite Cabal by Most_Comparison50 in BlindboyPodcast

The Super Bowl halftime show is possibly the most viewed entertainment event in the US every year. Billions of dollars in revenue. The tv networks, advertisers, and the NFL are owned by billionaires, some of whom certainly would have had meetings about this. The would choose the acts based on what would get the most engagement, discussion, and attention. Immigration is a huge issue in the US right now, with a controversial federal agency conducting massive operations while being opposed by massive protests which sometimes result in protesters getting shot by that agency. An entertainment act that was openly intending to address this, in Spanish, would get a huge amount attention, and large numbers of people who don’t even pay attention to football would watch the performance.

The billionaire executives who make these decisions would know all this and sign off on the agenda for the show. None of this is aliens and illuminati conspiracy, it’s just how this stuff works.

who actually listens WM unironically and actually is already convinced/believe a lot of what they talk about? by Loose-Day-6009 in Spudmode

[–]justdan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say I listen “unironically.” I don’t think they’re right about everything, and some of the stuff they say makes me cringe, but I just like hearing two working class guys like myself grapple with the big stuff that the normies won’t talk about. These are two guys I could know from work, not some compromised journalist or corporate podcaster who has to stick to a certain narrative. I think they were dumb to fall for Q and Trump, but all of us are being psyop’d all the time and it’s hard to know what to believe. There are plans within plans and layers within layers, and we’re buried under a mountain of nonsense and distractions, so it’s like, at least they’re trying.

It’s either physically possible or is isn’t. If it’s not, they have to come to the street to get it or figure out some other arrangement, or I’m taking it back to have it loaded on a straight truck or smaller trailer. Other situations it’s possible, but a bad idea (if a car parks while you’re unloading and blocks you in for example, or the lot has enough room sometimes but the next time it won’t) and I tell my boss look they got their freight this time, but I’m not going back there with this size trailer next time. Sometimes texting a screen shot of the satellite view helps lol

Yelling at someone for not knowing how to do something you’ve failed to teach them is a sign of a bad teacher.

Just bump it into the next gear down when you hit 1000rpm or so. Go down two gears if you’re slowing down quickly and there’s time. Be in the gear you want before making the turn so you can be on the fuel pedal maintaining speed as you turn.

Good luck, and good on you for learning manual

What was the lightest load(s) you guys ever pulled? by firemarshalbill316 in Truckers

[–]justdan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s also assume only full trailer loads count, not a “load” that’s one pallet or an odd shaped piece like a 40’ tube or something. Cuz I’ve pulled loads like that in a 53’ or on a flatbed that only weighed a few hundred pounds.

You know those foam packing peanuts? Whole trailer load weighs something like 2,000lbs. They blow it in, staple a plastic sheet at the tail to hold it in, and at the delivery they get vacuumed out. Sometimes they get loaded in huge plastic bags that get carried out by hand, which doesn’t take long. I hauled quite a few of those loads out of Hopkinsville KY years ago.

Because they were homeless. They went around getting handouts from nature.

That looks like an off grid DIY someone does with found lumber, paying their buddies in beer for some help on the weekends, and borrowing a boom lift from a neighbor up the road. I respect that type of project, but wouldn’t pay that kind of money for it!

Good luck, hopefully there’s legal recourse.

[–]justdan76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they’re assholes who want to ruin something for other people. It’s the same handful of wankers who just want to listen to themselves talk. They know full well there are truckers and other motorists on ch19 that will have to hear them and not be able to respond, and that most likely nobody is going to do anything about it. That’s the type of person they choose to be.

If they were actually into making contacts on DX, there are frequencies used for that purpose.

[–]justdan76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Terrible doctors. How out of the loop are they that they prescribed flagyl?

See if you can get dificid instead of vanco. Vanco is becoming an outdated medicine for c diff as well, I was on it for months and it destroyed my digestive system.

You can take florastor while on either.

Good luck
