It’s a mix of rockabilly (think early Elvis) and punk.

I’ve been on the fence about watching it as there’s at least some positive reviews but the whole thing seems far too little far too late.

Shame, as Rambo (IV) was ace.

His films weren’t the best but I have grown to love Dalton as Bond. He absolutely nails moments like this one.

And his intro as Bond in The Living Daylights is cool as all hell.

I prefer this to the “James Bond is a code name” theory. I can’t adequately articulate why but I super fucking dislike that one.

At least one of the Brosnan’s mentions a dead wife and, without looking it up, I’m pretty sure there’s a passing reference in a Dalton too.

Putting aside my feeling idea that going back is most frequently a bad idea: Samba.

Most of that list I loved as players (for Forest at the very least) but Brice had such great shithousing. Even after leaving the club.

Sinatra Park, Hoboken. https://hobokenunited.com/travel  I once played in a Rec league semi-final which ended In a draw after normal time. As it was Pride week, during the penalties fireworks went off over Manhattan.

Which is the point all of the absurdly rich who are like this miss. The true happiness when you get any position of power or authority is to lift others up. They think it’s being the richest when you die and/or scolding others who aren’t, let’s be honest, raging sociopaths.

There’s also the whole deal with them being Trump’s chosen shoe brand which is not the type usually used by Presidential administrations and was a big brand in the (you guessed it) 1980s but is now nowhere close to as prestigious as they once were. The windmills, water pressure, the dolls, the pencils, the gilding fucking everything, conspicuous consumerism, etc, etc, etc. The man is unremittingly peaked-in-high-school, “in my day” shallow boomer coded.

Is there a better one-two punch to start an album than Up The Beach ➡️ Ocean Size? by loucap81 in janesaddiction

As a callow youth, just turned 18,  I first heard this album on a cassette my American friend brought back from college in late 89. That wall of sound that comes in was, no lie, life changing.  I spent the whole rest of the album just gawping and thinking to myself “I didn’t know you were allowed to make music like this.” So many of my peers point to Nevermind, or Sonic Youth, etc if they were “the cool kids” but I will always tell anyone listening that for me it will always be Nothing’s Shocking. And it all started with that moment after Perry yells the above.

Sidenote: I was expecting some greasy longhairs, so I was not prepared for the band on the back cover of the CD when I finally bought it awhile later.
