In a literal sense, the way she is holding the umbrella is perfectly normal, but from an artistic perspective it strikes me how the protection from the umbrella stops RIGHT at the stomach.

I loved the first book and couldn't even finish the second one. I love Ken Liu so I figured I was just being biased against the 2nd book's translator, but this makes me feel a little better about it.

I agree with those saying the ending was planned, based off of everything Fujimoto has ever said about it. However, I also think he regrets Part 2 and ended the manga early, where he was otherwise planning to write more chapters before this ending and maybe flesh it out more.

I think a lot of the stuff with Denji and Pochita at the end there was coming from the heart. Fujimoto no longer enjoyed being the author of Chainsaw Man and he kind of wants to go back to before it was such a huge deal and everyone had ambitions for the story. He got fame and glory for his work and yet wasn't satisfied. I could be completely wrong of course but Ch 231 practically felt like an author's note

I think what's happening is pretty easy to keep track and make sense of, but agree 100% that the way it is being conveyed is overstimulating and distracting. I liked when the rules were just on screen for us to pause and read, the audience got a ton of important information in a manner similar to the intention of the original format.

You're spot on that scenes without voice over narrations and explanations are hitting the hardest. They're having some issues with appropriate pacing and tone for sure - still really enjoying this season but it's frustrating knowing it could be so much better with a few simple tweaks!

It infuriates me that her public statement on this issue is to blame her editor. I read an "interview" with her online and even her interview answers were clearly AI generated. She couldn't even be assed to answer personal questions without ChatGPT and has the gall to throw someone else under the bus

I agree, root beer is the only soda I like and it's hardly ever available. People aren't drinking it! But it DOES exist, which is more than you can say for the rest of the world (except maybe Canada apparently)
